Caleb and Cate - to finally getting their HEA

This was a painfully happy book. Painful in that it seemed impossible for the H and h to be together but happy because there was a HEA. Caleb left his small town of Bear Creek at 18 to join the Marines and see the world. Cate loved Bear Creek and refused to leave it. At the beginning of the book, Caleb comes back to Bear Creek to visit his mother after 7 years. The day he comes to town Cate is involved in a rescue operation in the middle of a blizzard and Caleb goes out to assist her. Unfortunately, their issues remain the same - one can’t stay and one can’t leave. There is growth for both of them as they deal with their pasts, their insecurities, and their beliefs in order to make it to their HEA. This book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, strong friendships, messy families, real life issues, imperfect characters, and so much love. This book lacked the suspense and danger of the other books in the series but it was a good story in its own right.

This is a new author for me and so far I’ve loved both books I’ve read. Love when I’m immediately hooked and cry over a book. I really felt for Caleb as he broke Cates heart when he left for the military. It’s been years and he’s returned to their hometown. Can she let go of her fears? I really felt for them and I cried a couple of times. They really were soul mates. Thankfully they do get a very happy ever after. I highly recommend this book.

He's been gone for 7 years and expects once he goes back home, she will fall at his feet. He's adamant about leaving Bear Creek - she's adamant about staying, so it's just a lot of arguing back and forth. It was just an ok read for me.
