At 4:00 in the morning, she was awakened by a voice calling, “Chelle”. She couldn’t get back to sleep and walked to the balcony where the wind had picked up. Again she heard the voice and felt something move over her leg. She ran inside and locked the balcony door. With all the lights on, she could not see anyone. Panicked, she forced herself to go back to bed.
Sinjin Heath was doing his swimming workout in the lake when he heard a car coming. Hoping it would head to the cabins at the far end of the lake, he could not believe it headed for the same lot his rental was in! It started to get windy so he headed for shore – strange, this spot rarely had wind because of the surrounding hills.
As Michelle decided to close the windows again as the winds got stronger, one slammed as he reached for it. She turned around and a man was standing in the doorway! He apologized for startling her. Then he introduced himself and she asked if he could help her check the generator. He held her hand and they stepped outside while the wind gusted heavily around them. By the time they finished with the generator, they both felt the attraction and he kissed her. As they returned to the cabin in each other’s arms, the wind outside howled with a fury!
Michelle, taking a bath, is forcibly touched and held in the tub. She flings herself over the edge and runs outside. Sinjin heard her screams and held her as the wind screamed, “Mine!” – and Sinjin heard it! Two people, strong in their own ways, need each other’s help to get their lives back. How do you fight a ghost? What can they do to stop this terror? Is Sinjin able to protect her?
This author’s writing style is amazing. The way she describes the environment surrounding the characters, as well as the emotions felt by the main characters as they meet and learn more about each other is so vivid and real that the reader could actually be standing right there! She builds up a whole world right around you and it’s so realistic. That’s how the reader is put on edge immediately when the haunting aspects begin – because it feels like it’s actually happening! The story line was great, with the proper amount of tension to keep the suspense moving the reader forward. Characters were challenged with circumstances that allowed their skillsets to show to best advantage, so the reader really knew what they were like. This was a fantastic book that I thoroughly enjoyed. I definitely intend to check out the author’s other books as well!
This story has everything: danger, thrills, soulmates (yes, hot romance), humor, and some very unusual methods of resolving the problems. I love it!
Sinjin_Michelle: Never say never. Sinjin will never fall for someone long term. Yeah until Michelle comes into his life telling of a ghost that is haunting her. So, what you gonna do, Become a Ghostbuster. While Michelle becomes a ball buster.
This book was a pleasant surprise because the first book in the series centered around vampires and Saving Michelle focused on ghosts. I loved the shift in the paranormal world and I absolutely loved the end of the book and what it means for future books! Michelle was such a sweet character and I can’t even imagine what she went through in the beginning of the book. Sinjin was so full of protective energy and guilt, but I loved how much he went through in order to keep his promise to save Michelle. I think one of my favorite parts of this book was watching the skeptical men learn the truth and actually believe! I love some of the directions that the plot took and loved how Michelle also saved Sinjin! I absolutely loved reading this book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
I was given an ARC from the author. This is my honest opinion of the book.
