- prepare for the common, but dangerous, spiritual attacks prophets face

"The New Testament of Jesus Christ is a message of faith, hope and love. It is called the Good News. My friend and colleague Kris Vallotton is one of the best in the prophetic community to help shape, teach and model these 'Good News Prophets.' Thanks for honoring my generation's pioneering work and picking up the baton and carrying it forth!"--Dr. James Goll, founder, Encounters Network, Prayer Storm and GET eSchool
"My friend Kris Vallotton has masterfully crafted this treatise, School of the Prophets, on the dynamics and framework of building a prophetic community in the 21st century. His life experience and seasoning in Christ have afforded the Spirit the opportunity to make him an influencer of influencers and a prophetic voice to the nations with a global footprint."--Mark J. Chironna, M.A., Ph.D.; Mark Chironna Ministries
"I love this book! As a person passionate to see the most desired gift in the New Testament (1 Corinthians 14:1) flourish all over the world, I would recommend this book wholesale. It clearly and biblically describes how to function in the New Testament gift of prophecy . . . If one heeds its principles, it will give greater understanding and produce higher levels of maturity in prophetic ministry."--Stacey Campbell, founder, Canadian Prophetic Council
"This is a must-read for all ministries. School of the Prophets has given us greater insight and understanding of how to help develop and prepare others to walk in their divine assignment. Kris Vallotton brings much clarity in what it means to be called in the office of a prophet and eliminates the fear of giving and receiving the prophetic."--Tony and Cynthia Brazelton, founders and pastors, Victory Christian Ministries International
"Kris Vallotton's book reminds us that the heart of prophecy should be God's heart to build up, encourage and speak life. I highly recommend this book and pray that it helps you to understand the prophetic and to 'call the gold' out of those around you."--Heidi Baker, Ph.D.; co-founder and director, Iris Global
"As I read this book, I could hear the sound of an entire generation of voices emerge that will transform culture. Kris Vallotton is a father to these voices. School of the Prophets presents a practical methodology for prophetic community and a powerful manifesto for prophetic transformation in this generation."--Bob Hazlett, author, The Roar: God's Sound in a Raging World; Future Perspectives, New Haven, Connecticut --This text refers to the paperback edition.

Kris, through humility in using his own story, and by proper use of scripture not only shows what a New covenant prophet is, but does it in such an easy to understand way in conversational English.
Kris goes on to speak about 6 types of prophets that influence nations and from these perhaps you can see where you fit, if at all.
He goes on to give some invaluable insight and tips how to conduct yourself when meeting leaders and people in authority.
It is well worth thle purchase price and is very very awesome.

I think many people can write about prophecy, but I applaud Kris and am so thankful he took the time to share the practical wisdom he's gained through his own trial and error.
I mostly appreciated all the testimonies and tips for dealing with foreign leaders and how to appropriately conduct ourselves. This too is my calling but as I had never known anyone who has walked this path previously, nor seen it done, I was at a loss for these simple fundamental basics.
I appreciate this book and will be using it as a reference as I move my feet forward into my God given destiny.
For years I have studied, engaged in, and activated others in the prophetic. Doing so gave me the opportunity to learn numerous hard lessons regarding this potent and powerful administration. Therefore, I am NOT easily impressed by much that is written on the prophetic today. Unfortunately much is verbatim and repetitive in which authors do not present new ideas, concepts, and fresh perspectives within this arena.
HOWEVER, Kris Vallotton has impressed me as he intertwines Personal experiences, Biblically-supported principles, and clear passion for Prophets and Prophetic people in this text for the sole purpose of helping many navigate this administration, which is by and large still a mystery to many within God's Body.
This text in my opinion is one worthy of study, contemplation, and reading time and time again, for within its pages is wisdom from someone who has clearly made many mistakes and experienced many triumphs in this arena.
As such, I encourage prophetic people both young and old to consider the perspective of this respected prophet and teacher. You will NOT be disappointed
This book is unlike any other book out there on the subject of the prophetic in that it isn't an explanation of how the gift works, but an injection if core values that should shape how a new covenant prophet should function.
Deviating from the prophetic models of the past that focus on doom and gloom, Kris paints a powerful picture of what a prophet should look like: a hope bearer. We're not called as prophets to become a commentary on the evil going on in the world, but instead we're called to gaze into heaven, perceive the blessings of God, and then release them into the most dire and hopeless of situations.
This book is one of a kind and has changed my life, I highly recommend that you buy it and add it to your personal library.

Some people have criticised Kris Vallotton for being doctrinally incorrect. In my view, these are people who apply strict western logic to the Scriptures, as though they are a theological textbook and not a collection of books written over a period of 2000 years, unified by revelatory experience of God. They provide wonderful, supernatural revelation of the nature of a supernatural God, apprehended spiritually rather than intellectually, as Paul strongly points out in 1 Corinthians 2. I find the approach of these critics legalistic. Paul pointed out that the letter kills but the Spirit gives life. Legalism kills spiritual vision and hope and strips the Gospel of its transforming power. Iaxn contrast, I find this book wonderfully empowering and enlightening, reviving my vision of the goodness of God and giving me a number of new insights into the gift of prophecy. It is very readable, too - I could not put it down. The writing style is, of course, American and seems occasionally clumsy to a British reader, but probably I'm being picky. Well worth careful reading if you are interested in modern prophecy.
At times the book feels ‘old school’ and other times ‘cutting edge’. An example of cutting edge would be about the prophet Daniel and how he managed himself in the court of the King. Daniel knew the language, the culture and was willing allow himself to be called a magician, but would not eat the kings food...as a prophetic missionary this highlights how we intregrate into the culture God sends us.
Highly recommended by anyone needing some deeper wisdom.
