Understand human behavior and social psychology - and then you can understand yourself and the people around you.
Let's face it - most of the problems that we encounter in our lives aren't about the situation, it's about the person in front of you. Whether it's a parent, sibling, co-worker, or even significant other, there might be a gap in understanding. That's reasonable and normal.
But what if you could learn to understand people, their motivations, what makes them tick, and ultimately how to connect with them better? This is renowned author Patrick King's specialty: distilled emotional intelligence that helps you decipher why people do the things that they do.
He combines his natural instinct for human analysis with a plethora of the latest scientific research in the field to bring you the end result you want: better relationships, high self-esteem and confidence, self-understanding, and overall fulfillment and happiness.

During my quest I discovered an instinctive function of the Brain and all life on Earth, known as Homeostasis, where if you are placed in a condition or environment to begin a task, whether in thought or physical activity, the brain automatically seeks to stabilize and adapt the whole body (thinking and functioning) into the new environment. I could get started i know I would bypass procrastinating. It’s how I could come home tired but needing to cut the grass. As soon as I started the lawn mower and begin, suddenly I had energy and alertness to finish. However, my challenge was how do I overcome Procrastination to motion myself to move into the mindset to begin and ignite the Homeostasis function of my brain? That was my brick wall, Procrastination!I I recognized a need to understand my Brain more and that I needed tools and knowledge to use in overcoming Procrastinating.
Over my 40 year engineer career, I have learned that life changes with knowledge, experiences, failures, mistakes, and determination. You wont change with a one Page letter, or a quick 1-2-3 step inhale/exhale 4 hour course. For those seeking these kinds of solutions, you are seeking a “Path of Least Resistance”, the greatest challenge of this 21st century. Everyone is looking for a pill, cream, secret, or a lottery ticket. This book is a role your sleeve, put a sweat ban on, in the mental gym, focus, hard work, celebration at the finish line type of Class-book. Your brain didn’t become a mature procrastinating well oiled machine overnight and It wont recalibrate and repair its thinking engine, gears, and pulleys overnight. If you want a simple to-do list with check boxes and stories of testimonials of unrelated people then this book is not for you. If you want real Procrastination root causes, problem definitions, tools and equipment, with strong countermeasures to implement, then this is your book.
I would like to know what jobs these people have that can spend 15 minutes to hours at the job looking at YouTube or talking to co workers!?!
Anyway, besides procrastinating by wanting to go back and make notes throughout the book ( perfectionist much?) I will get this completed. thank you for providing this book it will help me get a major long-standing task accomplished using many of the ideas you presented. Nice work!

Overall, I enjoyed the book, and I recommend it to students and business owners.
Even if you know some of the methods, you learn something from this book.
