Awesome story and characters!!

Roxane, Guardian of Taurus, and her companion Doriean (love this shark shifter) are asked to go to Earth by Poseidon to stop the evil forces that are trying to take over the earth.

Ladon Douglas, a water dragon and Prince of the Fire Water Clan is running through the woods to see what caused a magical event. It's Roxane and Doriean who have come through a portal. Ladon thinks she's the most beautiful women he has ever seen. When they get close to each other, he realizes she is his Mate, but now is not the time for sharing this. He tells Roxane that they are losing white witches to the dark side. Into this mix, comes Nicneven, who is Ladon's evil mother that everyone assumed was dead. Well she's back and wants her son. Now get ready for quite a ride.

I loved this story, loved the awesome Roxane and the handsome and noble Ladon. There is action, magic, humor and most of all-hot & sexy romance. I highly recommend this book.

Into this mix, comes Nicneven, who is Ladon's evil mother who everyone assumed was dead and who wants her son. Now get ready for quite a ride.

Roxane, Guardian of Taurus, embarks on a quest to Earth to save it from the forces of evil. With her faithful companion by her side, she is determined to discover why white witches are giving in to the temptation of dark magic. Yet as soon as she steps foot through the gateway, she meets the sexy water dragon, Ladon. Their attraction is powerful, but so is the evil that threatens not only their future but every person's on the planet.

This is the first book in this paranormal romance series that I've read. I felt like I was missing out on a lot of background having not read any of the other books in the series. The main focus was on Roxane and Ladon, and the immensely hot tension between the two of them. As Fated mates, the attraction and love was instant, but not the trust. I enjoyed seeing Roxane's interactions with her family and how such a diverse group manages to stick together no matter what.

Go down to Earth and fight the evil that is building. Who knew that this demi-goddess would meet her mate. Ladon is a dragon prince who has been masquerading as a human witch and did not expect to see Roxane who is his fated mate. Readers should enjoy reading this book and following the characters relationship and I would heartily recommend this book. Julia has once again written an outstanding story about supernatural beings and their fated mates.

This is the first book I've read from Mills. One thing I noticed right away was snappy dialogue with lots of character personality.
The plot didn't pull me in as much as the dialogue.
I did enjoy the zodiac guardians. Great concept using the gods. I also liked how the author incorporated the dragon romance between them.
This is a book involving true mates.
The climax of the story fell flat for me. I would have liked to see more internal and external conflict from the main characters. I generally felt I was one step away from the character instead of experiencing it with the character. Which isn't bad...just not something I enjoy as a reader. I want full immersion into character's.
Otherwise the book is well written in general with a solid story.

Roxane Guardian of Taurus is being sent by her father Poseidon to see what or who is causing turmoil on land. She takes her trusted guardian with her and oh my goodness I just love this shark shifter Doriean. I sure hope he gets a book.

They meet a Dragon who turns out to be more than Roxane bargains for. Ladon and his crazy momma.
Hang on to your seat for this ride.

We also get sister Una and her mate Drakon', and the fun begins. I absolutely loved this book.

An okay storyline, but a bit of the same old-same old love scenes. Would have enjoyed the book more if more had been said about the saving of the dragon than reading basically the same words in the mating ceremony and love scenes.
Also where is "Into the Ashes"? Was it renamed? This is 2019 and I can't find it anywhere. If something happened and it was never published, why wasn't the book updated with that preview removed?

I have to admit, I was really in to the story. The characters are enjoyable. My only problem came with the massive black hole of information during the battle. One minute we're involved n a massive battle for earth, the next, you blink and it's over. No information, no detail. It's not what I'm used to from this author, so it was a bit aggravating. However, this did not dampen my enjoyment of the story.

It's a short, fun read and definitely worth the read.
