Scorpion: A Rough Romance (Montana Bad Boys, Book 2) Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
He didn't ask if I like it rough. It wasn't up to me.
I thought I could get away with pissing off a big, tough Marine. I ended up with my face planted in the sheets, my burning bottom raised high, and my hair held tightly in his fist as he took me long and hard and taught me the kind of shameful lesson only a man like Scorpion could teach.
She was begging for a taste of my belt. She got much more than that.
Getting so tipsy she thought she could be sassy with me in my own bar earned Caroline a spanking, but it was trying to make off with my truck that sealed the deal. She'll feel my belt across her bare backside, then she'll scream my name as she takes every single inch of me.
This naughty girl needs to be put in her place, and I'm going to enjoy every moment of it.

I enjoyed this well-written romantic suspense. Ms. Stone cleverly uses a two-prong plot. One prong is their romantic journey. The second prong is one of suspense and mystery. It follows Caroline and Scorpions quest to discover the truth behind malicious events designed to force him to liquidate his uncle’s estate. I appreciated the rich conversational and internal dialog revealing Caroline and Scorpion’s backstories. I liked the use of a dual point of view to illuminate their dreams and vulnerabilities. Lastly, Ms. Stone’s use of descriptive language paints vivid and memorable scenes. One memorable scene showcases the barn burning and Caroline fighting the smoke and flames to save the trapped horses. This scene pulls readers into the scene giving them an eye-witness view. This was a captivating read. Well done, Ms. Stone.
I was hoping the stories in the series got better, so read this one. The plot of the story is nearly identical to the movie Roadhouse. A rich and crooked man wants the land a bar is on because of its value. Down to the main character using an old beat up vehicle so his nice one won't get vandalized, to the bar having chicken wire around the stage, nightly fights, and a manager that just steals cash and liquor, it is the bar from Roadhouse. The rich man using threats and arson to scare people off, also the same. Instead of reading this, go watch the movie Roadhouse. It is better written and has Patrick Swayze. His character in the movie is more believable than the ones in this book.
