This isn't as good as the original, but the acting was decent and the effects weren't too bad and it's got Lawrence Heinrichsen. The plot is a bit unfocused and retreads much of the same ground as the first one, but it could have been a lot worse - the story is serviceable and the main characters, while not terribly memorable, are at least not horrible; I didn't really care that they died, but I wasn't rooting for their deaths either. The whole movie is like that - neither good nor bad but sorta medium; it's up to you whether you find that a recommendation or a warning.
