Who are you!

That's the best... Being who you are is better than being a superstar.. But you have to be.. That means you have to be the best no matter how hard or how much the bully pushes you... In life these things exist. You just like countrys that want to come to the USA . You have to fight back.. Life is all about you.. Never run away from an enemy... You fight or figure out a way back..... Mike Jordan said it best.... Just do it.. I love you..

Great opportunity to listen to the greats

Wayne Gretsky. Pele. Jerry Rice. In their words. Inspiring. 5 stars.
The cheesy 1980s graphics. British music pop star analogies. Kills me. Deduct a star.

Don't let the graphics and the guy with all the British pop star analogies ruin it for you. Skip those parts. I did. The actual interviews and reel footage and clips and photos of their families and backgrounds are great.

If your child loves to do it, they might be great

WG says he practiced for three hours a day because he loved it, Dad provided the opportunity to do what he loved, and WG was multi sport, there is much for parents to learn from the great one. I watched this on prime and then grabbed my wife the next morning and we watched it together. Highly recommended for all parents, coaches and grandparents. Love of a sport or activity is the key to greatness, can’t be forced.

It is all about allowing the motivation of the athlete and a bit of luck

A phenomenal documentary from start to finish. How badly does a kid want to succeed and do the right things happen. For all those coaches who scream and yell... boo on you. Let those you coach own their experience and they will do great things. It's those athletes who are self motivated and also find the coach and the team at the right time that achieve greatness.

Importance of searching for your creativity!

I enjoyed viewing some of the greatest players in their respective sports analyzing what made them great. None of them admitted to being the best in the world they emphasized instead their passion for the game and the journey that passion led them on and the experiences that inspired them to continue to improve and grow as athletes. Wish this was available when I was younger playing sports, great watch!

A must-see for coaches, parents, educators and teens. This documentary should be played in schools.

This is an inspiring film that should be seen by all parents, educators, and definitely teens who are experiencing self-doubt, or who need a little confidence boost to trust themselves. This documentary is necessary for those who wish to find their voice and are bogged down by external pressures. This film highlight and then shuts out the noise and the pressures, and shows us, mostly through professional athletes, that indeed any measure of success, in any field really, must be given space to grow and evolve individually.

You have to love it so much it is all you want to do, and have the ability to learn fast and have a raging compulsion towards perfecting it, but in your own way. And mentors along the way.

What worked for the Greats?
Verified purchase
In Search of Greatness examines legendary sports athletes to find out what made them successful. While each athlete's career and challenges are unique to the athlete, what they all share is a drive to over-come any obstacle and an ability to enjoy what others consider plain old hard work.
