The last conflict is unrelated, out of the blue, and feels contrived. All in all, it’s a slow moving story with lots of internal dialogue and all of the excitement is practically over with after the first quarter of the book. Killian is a good guy. Hannah is alright, if a bit self-centered. Even she admits to being that way in the end. Speaking of which, the ending Epilogue somehow managed to feel both drawn out and abruptly ended. Not sure how that’s possible, but there ya go.
Killian gets a call that no man wants to hear. The woman who he can’t stop thinking about is missing in the mountains of Colorado. When her brother and Killian’s boss asks him to track her down and bring her home safe, Killian is all too eager to leave Chicago and put his tracking skills to use. Hannah won’t let armed poachers take her out without a fight and she does whatever it takes to survive until she is found. But when these two reunite, things really begin to burn between them and that is only the beginning of their story.
I have long been a fan of April and each time she releases another book, I can’t help but be excited. Search and Rescue is a spin off series from her McIntyre Security series and this promises to be another amazing series. Though I missed all the characters from McIntyre security, I think this series will give her a fresh scene to create some amazing characters and stories. Overall, this was a fantastic read and listen. Hannah has long been an elusive character and Killian one whose story fans craved. Search and Rescue delivered everything these two characters needed for an action packed journey to their HEA. If you’ve not read April yet, I can’t recommend her enough.
There is action, suspense, danger, drama and romance in this book. It kept me reading through the night.
I have read all the McIntyre Security books and look forward to reading the McIntyre Security Search and Rescue books. Thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited.
If you have not read the McIntyre Security Series do so because they will keep you entertained.

Hannah has always loved outdoor life away from the big city. Her work at a wildlife conservation has been her calling. The unthinkable happens when she goes missing after being sent to check on a local nest that has had some poaching activity around it.
Killian, has longed for the day Hannah would give him the chance to see what could be between them. When he gets the call that she’s gone missing he springs into action. A wilderness expert, he has no doubts he’ll be bringing her home.
After finding her injured and unable to get herself off the mountain it’s a race against time to escape before the poachers close in on them.
What happens if there’s another threat a bit closer to home?
These two slay me. It was quite emotional to read her difficulty in letting others help her and not allowing others to see her in pain. I love how Killian managed to eventually get past her walls. I loved the backdrop of the story and can’t wait to read more of the search and rescue series.

Hannah works at a wildlife centre, when her boss asks her to go check on an eagle. As there has been poachers in the area. Hannah is attacked and injured and the poachers are after her. Killian is sent to find her. Along with Jake and Owen.
The whole book doesn’t make sense! Hannah describes the poachers, as looking like ex military, with advanced equipment. So why do they act like bumbling idiots with her??? When she escapes them, they’re shooting everywhere to find her. Like amateurs!
Eventually Killian rescues Hannah and the poachers are still shooting in the other direction! What, they can’t follow footprints???
It’s decided that Hannah, who has a broke ankle, (and acts like it’s nothing!) will need protection from the poachers. Hmm. Killian spots their car several times, but doesn’t manage to get their licence plate. Aside from wondering how he doesn’t. Hannah already knows it as she spotted it before she approached the men. And she notes that it’s a local car and not a rental!!!! Which is never mentioned again!!!
So Hannah and Killian fall in love, and I don’t really care at this point. The poachers are caught. So easily it’s crazy!!! Hannah has her plaster taken off, and is instantly able to go on a hike!!! OH COME ON!! BROKEN LEGS ARE SO WEAK AFTER BEING IMMOBILISED FOR SIX WEEKS!!! There is no way that she could go for a hike!!!
Sex was boring. The whole book was boring! I can’t believe that she wrote this!

wowan and we finally get their love story .❤ We and are also introduced to future characters stories can't wait THANK YOU APRIL WILSON ANOTHER ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐looking looking forward to many more.

I feel like I've been waiting ages to learn more about Hannah, she's been an enigma so far in the series being based away from the family, buts she's just as amazing as I expected (like the rest of the family).
Can be read as a stand alone but I would definitely recommend you start at the beginning with Vulnerable to get a full appreciation for the family dynamics.
Can't wait for the next installment (I hate the wait)....no pressure April 😉

This is the book for Shane’s sister, Hannah. When Hannah goes missing Shane sends Killian to the Rocky Mountains to locate her. Once found Hannah and Killian can’t fight the attraction any longer. Can’t wait for the next one
