I have seen a previous behind-the-scenes documentary or TV show concerning a cruise ship, years ago, so had a general understanding of the work and chaos. If you have seen the Discovery Channel documentary on Aircraft Carriers, you also have a pretty good idea of what running a City at Sea entails. But with the gargantuan size of the MSC (4000 passengers/1000 crew), everything is taken to an absurd level of complexity! All the more so because it has to cater to guests and crew needs 24/7. And must do a complete reload every seven days!

It is truly fascinating seeing how precise everything must be and all of the most modern State of the Art equipment that helps make it all possible. Truly, every single department relies on choreographed teamwork that will give you (hopefully) a world of respect for those behind the scenes, making the passengers Week of Paradise possible. Prepare to be seriously impressed!

In general I'm fascinated with ships, boats, trains, planes. This behind the scenes was fascinating! I was blown away especially by the precision of things, mainly docking in Miami port. Well done to all the people who make a cruise happen, WELL DONE!! My appreciation for cruising has soared and I'm ready to take a cruise on this ship. WELL DONE AND THANK YOU!!!

This documentary reminded me of the cruise I was on where we got a guided tour of the 'backstage' part of one of Royal Caribbean's larger ships. It was fascinating, and this documentary shows the massive amount of work required to take care of 6000 people in a self-contained hotel for a week. Far too often, people only hear about the bad parts of cruising, like outbreaks of norovirus and bad weather, but there's a lot more good than bad. The ships are often cleaner than most land-based hotels and restaurants, and the crew works hard to keep them spotless. This documentary is an excellent look at that side of the voyage.

Pre-pandemic, but very informative

What fun to go behind the scenes and see what goes on onboard a cruise ship. A lot of hard working people living not very luxurious lives toiling away to make sure you have a good vacation. I'm not sure what things have changed due to the pandemic, would love to see a pandemic version to see what is done to try to keep people safe.

Whether you've taken or cruise or never been on a ship, this is so interesting to watch. Hopefully, passengers will have a better appreciation for ship employees and everything they go through to make their trip pleasant. I was really impressed with the level of cleaning every night, the food preparation and the masterful way the captain and port pilots maneuver that huge machine into the ports. Excellent video!

The statistics of what it takes to keep this ship going, and it's passengers is astounding. T ehe facts about the input and output were quite something.

Loved the behind the scene information and the mind-blowing details. The logistics and operations are taken for granted when we are at sea. Kudos to all Cruise Ship Companies!
I’m a big fan of cruising and I can’t wait to get on a ship again! Best vacation a family can take…something for everyone, young and old.
