I've read this series since The Auction first came out. I lived each story as they happened and hung onto the cliff for dear life waiting for the next. Each book was like a breadcrumb dropping little bits leading to the big finale which is this book. I was happy with the way the story as a whole ended up.

Holden and Cammie are at it again. He is trying to be a better and more deserving person to Cammie. Despite being told by numerous people he was never good enough because of the blood that runs through his veins. He finally has Cammie in his hands and is afraid to lose her. Cammie is coming to terms with her past and yet her future isn't looking so bright except for having Holden after 9 years. He doesn't want to start over with her with any secrets from the past in their way. He lays them all out. Futures are decided and choices are made.

I have been a big fan of J.B. McGee since Heartfall. When I started these books I wasn't sure what I was getting into. I read each novella as they came out and the story just built from each one. I loved the way the story came together. At times it felt maybe the story was sped along but it didn't take anything away especially if you read them back to back now that they are finished. Ms McGee can write anything from YA to swoon worthy sexy alpha males and never misses a beat.

The title says it all. There were secrets and unanswered questions in the previous books but in this book it's all revealed. It was one hell of a ride that I enjoyed, reading Holden and Cammie's story. Got to read story about two people who have loved each other for so long finding their way back to each other. One thing to learn is to say what you want to say even though it's hard or hurts at first. To be honest.

I loved the first three books. I loved this one too, however, I admit I was hoping for something more (especially) in this book. Though, J.B. never fails to deliver a good, touching story. It's so well-written and I'm looking forward to what she has in store for us next year!

This is the final installment of the series about Cammie and Holden. I have to say that I didn't enjoy this one as much as the others. I think I wanted more interaction between Cammie and Holden. We did get answers to the questions that formed during the other books. We spent a lot of time in the past, and I think I wanted more time in the present. Still a nice conclusion to a series. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.

What an ending. There is of course drama with Cammie's family as they don't like Holden but if they knew him things would be different. He keeps fighting and tries to make everything right. Loved this series a great fast read.

I love this series so much and am so sad to see it end. This is a second chance romance between two people who used to be best friends. And when things felt like they were crossing over that line, Holden walked away leaving Cammie with a broken heat and never really understanding what happened. But Holden has his reasons, but now the reasons no longer exist, well maybe they do but Holden is no longer going to care. He loved Cammie and he will do anything to prove how much he loves her and how much they belong together. But to fully be together and make Cammie see how true his feelings really are he needs to tell her his secret from many years ago. Will push her away further or make her see how much this man truly loves her.

I loved Holden from the very first moment that I met him And he proved over and over again how much he loved Cammie and why he was so worthy of her love, something that he may have questioned over the years. Ten years ago people got in his way of loving her and being with her. But she was always his even if they weren't together. I love how much he fights for her, gives her what she needs, takes it as slow as she needs it to be. But what made me fall in love with him all over again was in this book. He finally felt that now was the time to tell Cammie the truth, but at the same time he was also looking out for her. I can exactly explain why but just know that this man has a huge heart, especially where she is concerned.

I really like Cammie, even if at times she frustrated me. But to be honest I completely understood her reservations. Coming out of a long term relationship with a man that lied to her only to star a new one with a man who broke her heart so many years ago. But you could see how much she still love Holden, she was just being careful with her heart.

This was the perfect conclusion to this series. I loved the ending and I loved that we got more answers to their past. Ms. McGee managed to wrap everything up very nicely and gave us all closure in the areas where it was needed, with Cammie's father and the real reason Holden left her. I did feel like the story line with her ex sort of just ended with no real explanation. I am still unsure about what happened and did he really betray her, was he lying the entire time. But regardless this story is Cammie and Holden's and it was perfect. I cannot wait for Wells' story!!

I read The Auction some time ago. I was then happy to find later that it was being rewritten and the rest of the series being published in quick succession. I really enjoyed the whole series and couldn't wait to find out how 'the ideal date' from the auction would work out. As each book took me further forward in getting to know the characters I found myself loving them and the humour in their relationship more and more. The writing from the different POVs and different ages is done so well that you find yourself slipping into that teenage version of them. You got to see how the families all fit together and how they grew into the adults they are. Sometimes I read a book and find an epilogue followed by another a few years on and another a bit later and wonder why? With this series I actually found myself wanting that. I loved how it ended but wasn't quite ready to finish spending time with these two. I really can't wait to spend time with Wells when his book is released.
It's not a life changer type of series but instead it's one of those rare finds where you enjoy being with the characters so much that you can imagine going back and reading it again and again. I so enjoyed the whole series!
