Seduction (Curse of the Gods Book 3) Kindle Edition
Willa has never been a particularly useful dweller: she isn’t very good at chores, she isn’t very good at worshipping, she isn’t very good at not having opinions, and she isn’t very good with rules—but none of that matters anymore.
The rules are changing.
The dwellers are trying to make their own way in the world, and Willa can’t seem to help getting tangled up in their plans.
Luckily, she has the Abcurse brothers to help her out—until she doesn’t, and suddenly she’s alone again in a world on the brink of chaos. With the Abcurses gone, she’ll have to rely on her wits, and her sister Emmy, to stay under the radar and survive.
Because someone wants her dead.
But, really, what else is new?
This is a full novel, 90,000 words. Book 3 of 5 in the Curse of the Gods Series

I was so excited to be reading about the Abcurse brothers because it’s been too damn long since I read Persuasion. The guys are back and are more possessive than ever!
“Stop talking to boys,” I interrupted.
We’ve had this talk before. It’s irrational. I can’t avoid all males.”
“Just the sols.” He frowned. “And the dwellers. And the gods.”
“So just … all males, then?” I arched a brow at him.
He nodded, once, short and sharp—as though we had just figured out our differences and come to a mutual agreement.
Willa was still a freaking hoot! This girl kept me laughing throughout the entire book. Of course, she couldn’t keep herself out of trouble while the guys were gone. She barely did when they were there. I’m glad we didn’t spend too much time without them being together.
The dynamic between Willa and the guys just got better and better. It turned me to mush. I blew through the pages trying to get all that I could. I could read about them all day. The was great banter between them and don’t even get me started on the sexual tension! She was theirs and they were hers.
Large hands wrapped around me as he pulled me close to his chest. “What I actually said was that you are ours. I’ve claimed ownership of you, Willa Knight.”
Far more gently than I would have expected, he pushed me back to arm’s length. “We’re yours also, you know that. This isn’t a one-way thing.”
We also get to learn a little background on Willa and get a little bit more information about what makes her so different from normal dwellers.
So it’s obvious that I loved this book, so you’re probably wondering why I only gave it 4 stars. It’s because I wasn’t satisfied with her finally getting with the guys. (I don’t think this is a spoiler because you know it was bound to happen and I haven’t given any details of when or who.) We have been tortured for two books filled with sexual tension, two books! I just felt as if it was way too short and undeserving.
Overall, I’m already dying from waiting for book 4 already. I just need more of the series, it seriously has become one of my favorites.
I adored the increased world building and character fleshing out. Unlike other authors, these two are solidly focused on bringing the reader solidly into their worlds, and caring deeply for the characters in the series. The subplots, involve the worker’s world, and the god’s world. There are hints of another, too. There is a caste system in place, and the main character is a super clumsy spirited girl, raised mostly by her adopted sister. Who always seems to have a medipak on her person, to treat Willa’s injuries sustained by her “curse,” of clumsiness. Willa and those around her, all fall prey to the curses’ often hilarious incidences that our heroine takes in stride. In her own opinion, it’s not like she has a choice, so just in case falling down a well, getting charged by Bullshen(a Brahma Bull like oxen with tempers to match), or accidentally setting her teacher on fire with a found bucket of mystery substance, hits it’s mark in a fatal way... Then Willa’s attitude of live life like the next hour could be her last, is not only completely understandable, but keeps the adventurous maiden moving always forward, with a can do spirit, that has you falling in love with her, and cheering her on. My favorite part of the series so far was a intentional joke she pulled, where everyone else saw her running around school in her underwear and bra, except her boyfriend brothers. Yeah, in case you haven’t read the series yet in full, the hero harem consist of triplets and twins. Same mom and dad. The reactions from everyone as they noticed her state of undress, and the equally puzzled but growing suspicion of the brothers is laugh out loud hilarious. This scene was in 2nd book, “Persuasion.” Amazing series. Buy them all Now! You won’t be disappointed!

I really enjoyed this book and was so excited when it pinged down onto my kindle - finally! I loved seeing Willa cope with problems alone, although like her, I very much missed the constant chemistry between her and the Abcurses during their absence. We learn more about what Willa is, something that has kept me guessing through the installments so far. I also like how more of the inner workings of Topia and Staviti have been revealed - the making of the "Jeffries", Staviti's beginnings, Topia before the gods, the pantera... it's cleverly devised and well thought out.
I know some people may be put off my the relationship developing between Willa and the Abcurses - in which case know that their relationships being tied together increase here so this may not be for you. I, however, am eagerly awaiting number 4!
This is the third book in the Curse of the Gods series. This book really picked up the pace. Chaos reigns as old regimes are threatened and the downtrodden rise up to make their voices heard.
Our main characters are explored in further depth. Previously secondary characters are brought to the fore. Best of all, the sexual tension which has been brewing for most of this series between our heroine and the five brothers who have brought her into their circle is finally addressed. Finally! Much more of that please!
This series is great. If you haven't read the previous books, go and get them. You won't regret it. I'm about to start book four. Who needs sleep anyway?
