There are no strikes in this book. Throwing a man hard and stunning him, and then breaking his arm is far more effective than a strike.
Have no illusions, the average woman is a couch potato with twigs for arms. You have ZERO hope of fighting off an evil man unless you make yourself strong... no matter that techniques you use. A two week seminar will not make you capable of defending yourself. Self defense means that you train every day from this day, until the day you die. And should you choose to fight instead of submitting to rape or murder... Know that it will be the hardest, most painful thing that thing that you ever do. But it is better to die fighting than to live as a victim.
Buy a grappling dummy to practice these techniques on if your husband or boyfriend will not let you practice on him. Or find a friend also interested in self defense to train with. Some of the greatest champions trained on a dusty old mattress in the garage with a friend.
