This book is written by Mr. Ruiz's son. While I prefer the elder authors writing style a little better, this book has some helpful insights.
On the topic of changing people, the authors advise in the Intro-"You cannot change anyone else. You can only change yourself." You see it all the time, people hoping to change their partner at some point in the relationship. And that rarely seems to happen.
Another topic that really stood out in this book was the Dream. Toltec wisdom is easier to understand if you understand what that is. This book explains what the Dream is in an easily grasped way.
I like the book. There is a lot of helpful advice for anyone in a relationship.
