The story was fairly interesting but I didn't care to be left hanging. In my opinion a book is either free or I pay for it -- I don't appreciate a few chapters and then told I will have to pay for the rest.

If I misunderstood I apologize but I don't care for this sort of promotion.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice shame on me. I guess the shame is on me because when I got to the end of this book, it was only PART of the book. So I spent the money for the rest of the book on the sequel "Moonlight Falls on Seven Sisters" (book 2) but there was no end to the story in this book. We are not talking about just another book about the same people, we are talking about not finishing the story at all. Ok, so dumb of me not to check it out first, but the conclusion to the book is not available on the Kindle. So if and when I find the end of the book, I will have lost interest or forgotten what was going on with the plot, I will say that I enjoyed the writing and the plot is interesting, but I hate it when I get a "Book" and it is only some of the chapters of the real book.

Never Ending Serial NOT series

I HATE when an author uses a bait and switch in promoting their "Books" This is not a series it is a serial Each "book" is actually 1/7th of a book. There really isn't even a cliffhanger it just stops and if you get the next part it resumes right where it left off in the previous part. I happen to be a ebook hoarder and had 2 parts of Seven Sisters and the first installment of the second "series" The Idlewood. Since there was no where on the info page that this was a serial I thought I had complete books. I happened to start with Part one of the Idlewood. I didn't get every far when I realized that I was missing a bunch of stuff when they were talking about the Seven sisters. So I stopped that part and when to part one of the Seven Sisters. One of the biggest mysteries in this first part is what happened to Calpurnia. Guess what you won't find out in those 7 books you bought. Because they tell you in the next series. That is just wrong! So this author is just going to suck you along doling out bits and pieces making you pay more and more. NO NOT HAPPENING! I wish that Amazon would put a stop to this practice or at least make the author not use the work book and put in the info page that this is a serial. Some people like serials I am not one of them. I don't want to pay 25.00 or more to get a completion of a story. To the author you have a good story you don't need to use subterfuge to sell your book.If its good I have no problem buying the next COMPLETE (beginning, middle and End) book! Had the author been honest I would have given this 4 stars.

You think you are getting a full novel but it is not.

Just so everyone knows when getting this book, there isn't an ending. It is the start of the story. If you are into historical, paranormal novels you will pick up this book only to find you have been tricked into thinking you are getting a full novel with a beginning, a middle and an end. You get to the beginning of the middle and that's it.. I guess so you have to buy Book 2 and then I guess book 3 etc. No one should pay for this book. Only read if you are willing to buy the next book and who knows you may just find you will have to buy again and again. I don't mind being led into buying book 2 but I want to have some closure to book 1 not left just when the action starts. Other authors do it so such better without the reader left hanging with a bunch of nothing.

I am very disappointed in this offering. It was presented as a book when it is only a "sample". If I had bought it I would really be upset! As it is I am not going to buy the second book because it will probably just end in mid story like this one!

Very annoying serialization

One star isn't really fair because I didn't hate the book. What I did hate was having no ending and not having this be a book. Even though this annoys me endlessly, I would have bought the second book because it is an easy escape read with a decent storyline. However, I then discover the next non-book is also not the conclusion of the story, but there will be a third. Frankly, the "series" is too irritating to deal with, so the author that thinks it was a good marketing strategy, is losing sales.

What I thought was going to be a SERIES turned out to be the thing that I hate the most...a SERIAL! The plot (what there is of it!) is good, the writing is beautifully done, but 'Book 1' is actually just a few chapters of the book. Apparently, you have to buy multiple 'books' to get one story. Nope. Although I would like to read it, I will not condone this trashy method to push sales. If I can find it at the library, I will finish it. Otherwise...never. And this author's name goes on my 'Do NOT buy' list.

Book 2 was purchased before Book 1 at a low price and I started at the beginning. What a disappointment to get to Page 144 and find this is not a comp!she story but more like a few chapters. I opened Book 2 and its only a continuation too! I suspect that the whole 8 books in the series will be required to finish this story. That would be about $24 in investment, which I'm sure not willing to do. I will not be wasting my time on Book 2. And I won't be reading more by this self-published author: M.L. Bullock.

I was told the "Seven Sisters" was a good read and that there were a couple of sequels. When I found this book and it said it was one of a series, I bought it without checking the author's name (how many series of books called Seven Sisters can there be, after all?). When I started reading it, it was such a lot of nonsense that I couldn't believe friends had found it worth reading, only to discover that I had the wrong book. If you're looking for Seven Sisters, make sure you check which one you're getting. This one is a waste of time and has no ending. I have since read the first of the Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley and it is indeed a very good read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would imagine that Carrie Jo's character could be applied to many situations and circumstances. My only issue with the book was it finished too soon and abruptly, but I suppose that's to encourage the readers to move onto the second book.
