Beyond the Veil by Pippa DaCosta - Half-demon and half-human, Muse tried to lead an ordinary life. But when an underworld assassin comes after her, she must embrace her powers—and make a formidable deal with the Prince of Greed.
Justice Calling by Annie Bellet - Between hiding out from her evil ex-boyfriend who wants to steal her power and keeping her friends safe from dangerous magics, Jade Crow has all the problems. For fans of The Dresden Files and the Iron Druid, this is a nerdy urban fantasy full of snark and fireballs.
Getting Wilde by Jenn Stark - Tarot-reading artifact hunter Sara Wilde can find anything, for a price. Then a wickedly sexy magician offers her the ultimate challenge: Sneak behind Vatican walls...and steal the Devil himself. Globe-trotting, fast-paced, high-stakes adventure perfect for fans of Darynda Jones, Faith Hunter, and Ilona Andrews!
Wolves by C. Gockel - When Amy prays for help, Loki the Norse God of mischief and Chaos isn't the savior she has in mind. Loki can't resist Amy's summons, but he can insist that she help him outwit Odin, ruler of the Nine Realms. The start of an epic urban fantasy with myth, magic, and mayhem!
Empowered: Agent by Dale Ivan Smith - The world says those possessing superpowers are either heroes or villains. But what if you're both? Former rogue empowered Mathilda Brandt must return to villainy in order to save her family and thousands of others from a psychotic criminal mastermind.

About the authors
A life-long resident of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Dale Ivan Smith has his mother to thank for his love of science fiction and fantasy. When he was five, he glimpsed the cover of a paperback sci-fi novel she was reading and was immediately interested. (It had a giant radioactive spider on the cover.) When he was fifteen, she loaned him her collection of Edgar Rice Burroughs's Barsoom novels and he devoured them in short order.
He got into trouble in grade school for sneaking off to the library during class, so naturally he wound up working as a librarian for the Multnomah County Library system in Portland, Oregon.
He's been writing fiction since he was a kid. He's had stories published in Perihelion Science Fiction, Everyday Fiction, 10Flash Quarterly, and on the Toasted Cake podcast. The Empowered is his first novel series, beginning with Empowered: Agent.
When he isn't writing or reading fantasy and science fiction, he's playing board games, practicing yoga, and obeying his feline overlords.
C. Gockel has been writing stories for her friends and family since the dark ages (i.e., before word processors existed.) A few years ago, she started posting those stories to the intertubes. She received emails, messages, and reviews from her fans telling her she should 'do this professionally.' She didn't; she is a coward and life as a digital designer, copywriter and coder is more dependable. But in the end, her husband's nagging wore her down: "You could be the next '50 Shades of Gray' and I could retire!" Unfortunately, the author writes science fiction and fantasy, and isn't particularly good at writing erotica. She is sad about this; she'd love for her husband to be able to retire and just work for her so she could nag him.
At the moment, Ms. Gockel is working on the next installment of the Archangel Project.

Aimee Easterling wasn't raised by wolves, but she did spend the first ten years of her life running wild in their habitat. Since then, she's backpacked across three continents, spent over a decade homesteading half a mile from the nearest road, and now unearths excitement amid fictional werewolf packs.
Her USA Today bestselling books straddle the line between urban fantasy and paranormal romance...because everyone deserves a pack, a mate, and an adventure. Download your free starter library when you sign up for her email list: www.aimeeeasterling.com/?page_id=12

Born in Tonbridge, Kent in 1979, Pippa's--- "Wait a second. Let's cut to the chase. I write kick-a$$ urban fantasy novels with conflicted characters, breathless action, and no-holds-barred dialogue. My books may not leave you feeling all fluffy and warm inside, but they will excite you. There will be plot-wists, there will be angst, probably a few dead bodies, and very likely your favorite character will turn out to be the bad guy. Don't say I didn't want you..."
Pippa's family moved to the South West of England where she grew up amongst the dramatic moorland and sweeping coastlands of Devon & Cornwall. With a family history brimming with intrigue, complete with Romani angst on one side and Jewish survivors on another, she has the ability to draw from a patchwork of ancestry and use it as the inspiration for her writing. Happily married and the Mother of two little girls, she resides on the Devon & Cornwall border.

Huntress Born by Aimee Easterling
Beyond the Veil by Pippa DaCosta
Justice Calling by Annie Bellet
Justice Calling is the first book in the Twenty-Sided Sorceress series and this was just a great glimpse into this new world. I was just drawn into this world and I just fell in love with these amazing characters. I can’t wait to read more wonderful stories in this series.
Getting Wilde by Jenn Stark
Wolves by C. Gockel
Empowered: Agent by Dale Ivan Smith
Huntress Born by Aimee Easterling
This first book in Ember’s crusade to find her elusive brother was interesting, entertaining and amusing with the beginning of an adventure that kept me chuckling at each moment. Armed with her cupcakes, her smart deductions and strong alpha traits, Ember was decided to fulfill her mission and return, unharmed, to her pack. Strong willed but at the same time yearning for her home-pack, she felt Wolfie’s direct line was not helping her. When things got complicated with strange events that didn’t pair with wolf ways, her fate become an uncertain one. Very interesting story with a witty and funny protagonist in her first adventure far away from her home pack. Liked the twists in the story that kept me interested all the time and left me very intrigued. Adventure, mystery, drama, suspense, some violence and romance.
Top reviews from other countries

1. Huntress born. Aimee Easterling. 1st of series Wolf Legacy (4 total). Werewolf/human leaves home territory lloking for brother. Good story but ends on cliff hanger which is frustrating.
2. Beyond the Veil. Pippa da Costa. 1st of series The Veil (5 total). Half human half demon hybrid on journey of self discovery. Reasonably good.
3. Justice calling. Annie Bellet. 1st of series 20 sided sorceress (10 total). A sorceress in hiding, hiding her abilities to stay under the radar but events dictate otherwise. Good but very short. Seems like just intro to the series.
4. Getting Wilde. Jenn Stark. 1st of series Immortal Vegas (10 total). Excellent. Heroine is bright, competent and sassy. One of the few that I would consider reading the rest of the series-& they are relatively cheap too.
5. Wolves. C Gockel. 1st of series I bring the fire (8 total). Norse mythology, Loki story. Good.
6. Empowered agent. Dale Ivan Smith. 1st of series The empowered (total 5). Good story, abbout how people get trapped in situations.

I am looking forward to reading the other books in this set.

I knew one author, the rest were new to me. I will be seeking out some of them.
Definitely worth reading.
