Missing most of season 2
Season 2 only has 2 of their 10 episodes!! Remind me why I am paying for BritBox.

So cozy...soo good!
I'm not sure why, but I really enjoy this show. Analyzing each separate part of it, I would think it's a dumbed-down show and not worth the watch. But, as a whole, everything works so well.

I'm hooked and I absolutely adore the 3 main characters (you've got to see "Sebastian" in drag...he's so lovely). Watching this show feels like cuddling up with a soft blanket on a chilly, rainy day with a hot cup of tea and either a sleepy dog beside you or your favorite friend. I know...silly, but that's what comes to mind. In an age of shows that feature foul language, fighting, sex, and revenge this show is so pleasant and calming.

I highly recommend it. Give it a try.

UPDATE!!

I'm OUT OF EPISODES. Now I'm jonesing and my only option seems to be running the show from the start again (and again), risking my husband wondering if he needs to make a phone call.

Patience dear colleagues and cozy tea mystery peeps!
Cozy mystery lovers! Just need to be patient, new episodes come out on Tuesdays. The low ratings will affect the show not Amazon's delivery release and that's not great, we all love Shakespeare & Hathaway! A lot of new British and other international shows have graduated releases (Amazon, AcornTV), just enjoy the old school anticipation and a show that happily lingers!

Love the show! Hate the delivery system
I love the show. I watched all of season 1 and I waited impatiently for season 2. I was thrilled to see my inbox and social media flooded with ads telling me season 2 was here, right? Well not quite, "here". Amazon has decided that with season 2 the episodes should be doled out in drips and dribbles. Also... would it kill you AMAZON to, at the very least, tell us when the next set of episodes will hit? If you can put up with this "airing" game, the series is well worth it. A fun light-hearted show.

Fantastic Show!!!
I love the cases, the humor, and the compatibility of the duo. I look forward to receiving 2 new episodes every Tuesday. To echo another reviewer, please do not review this show poorly due to when the episodes appear in Prime Video.

I'm hoping for more than 10 episodes this season so it's not over next week, but also hoping for many more seasons.

So glad season 2 is finally on Britbox!
Not sure why it took so long for season 2 to show up on Britbox, but I'm glad it finally did! I just love this show! As detective shows go, it's pure comfort food! Something friendly and cozy, instead of dark and gruesome, with likable characters I look forward to spending time with!

My Wife And I Love Everything About This Show - The Actors, The Storylines
We found the first season extremely entertaining and when we found the 2nd season showing up in our Britbox subscription we immediately jumped in but found they had only released 2 episodes and continued to do so over the past month but we have now already watched the entire 2nd season.

What a joy to find a show that is both funny but serious in the nature of the problems and crimes solved by Shakespeare, Hathaway and the police working together.

I just checked on IMDB and it appears there will be a Season 3 and you can be sure we will be on Britbox watching it. Something is revealed in this Season that if you are a fan you probably have been wondering. I will not spoil it for you but will say you finally learn why Frank is no longer on the police force and why DI Marlowe seems to always be on his side or allows him a lot of leeway.

This is really a show that seems to go very fast with each episode and one that we really hope they will release Season 3 before next Fall.

Delightful!
Quickly rose up our chart to become an instant favorite of my husband's and mine. This light-hearted, amusing detective series isn't the same old run of the mill storyline . Haven't had this much fun, since Jonathan Creek! It's right up there with Midsomer Murders, which is one of our all time favorites! Interesting how they always seem to incorporate a little Shakespearean humor in there. We love most all the British detective series, but when you don't want anything heavy or gory and just want to relax with a little light comystery, it's a lovely piece of work. Bravo to the writers! For me, this series helps take my mind off all my troubles and cares. It's the perfect little escape! We just love all the characters, the down-to-earthiness of Lou & Frank, with their constant surveillance snacking. They are the perfect pair! Sebastion is the fun, quirky assistant that always has a brilliant idea and quite the posh in his cutesy, undercover disguises. Even good ol' Gloria is such a sweetheart. They just can't make the episodes fast enough, as this is one we never get tired of watching and are constantly waiting for more to be released. A real gem!!
