“There is no such thing as a quick fix. However, if you’re beleaguered by the baby battles, these books could serve as a life preserver.”—The Post & Courier
“It’s important for children to understand they can’t take something away from another person without permission. It’s important they understand they have the right to say no when asked to share but can offer up a compromise for later. This book is a great way to lay that foundation.”—Andrea Coventry, Montessori educator, Andi’s Kids Books Blog

Now, when she has a conflict with another child (or her parents), I just remind her of the Sharing Time book. She gets a thoughtful face and then usually shares. This book seems to have helped my daughter develop more empathy for others. Thanks!
Now, I'm looking for a trick to get her to eat vegetables!

It's a good message. I can't imagine any toddler or preschooler is going to practice deep breathing when they are frustrated. But it's nice at the end when the 2 kids are sharing and each have a drumstick so they can visualize sharing. And it's good that it teaches them to ask an adult if they feel they need help to sort their feelings/sharing out.
