New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julia Kent writes romantic comedy with an edge. Since 2013, she has sold more than 2 million books, with 4 New York Times bestsellers and more than 21 appearances on the USA Today bestseller list. Her books have been translated into French and German, with more titles releasing in the future.
From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes. Unlike Shannon from Shopping for a Billionaire, she did not meet her husband after dropping her phone in a men's room toilet (and he isn't a billionaire she met in a romantic comedy).
She lives in New England with her husband and three children where she is the only person in the household with the gene required to change empty toilet paper rolls.

What does can go wrong, does.
This is a funny, funny story. I laughed out loud a lot. Hamish is something else as he keeps goading Amy. She is amazingly calm (relatively, ok, she doesn't shoot him or damage him.) The family is crazy but get along fairly well. I can relate to the sisters when the dad talks about the accident and then the mother does her craziness (TMI) but I liked the openness of the family. Even the animals are crazy. Their craziness makes the dinner worth it.
My only complaint is that this is a cliffhanger, and I don't have the other book. I would have liked to see the story wrapped in one book with the next book focusing on another couple. But I will go back to the zaniness of this family willingly.
The holidays are crazy always, but add in a Scottish man with a huge ego and its even more crazy!!
You will laugh and swoon with this book, but you'll keep turning the pages to see what happens next.
Crazy love!!
Can't wait to see what happens in the next book with Amy and Hamish!!
My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
With the Jacoby family, any given holiday can go awry and they did this one with a bang!
I cannot wait to get more of Hamy and Amy!
Top reviews from other countries

Hamish and Amy have been supporting characters, now is their time to shine and they do.
Hamish find himself stranded in the US, so accepts an offer from his uncle to help promote his business. Hoping it means he will run into Amy.
Amy is finally relaxing when thanksgiving is thrown into chaos but a swing accident. And her carefully laid plans go out the door.
The cascading events that follow turn a family event into a Jacoby family event. If you have read the previous stories you will know where this is going, if not hold on tight it will be quite a ride. Chuffy and Chuckles play there part. And the ending just leaves you wanting more. In such a good way :-)
I love this world, these characters and their adventures.
I highly recommend this book, series and author.
