Thoroughly enjoyed this. Got it because I became interested in Margaret Sullavan and wanted to see some of her work. Good story about a young army recruit about to be sent to fight in europe in world war 1 who falls in love with a worldly actress before he leaves. Great chemistry between James Stewart as the soldier and Ms. Sullavan. Enjoyed her performance very much- she had a very special quality apparent throughout! Ultimately heartbreaking tale. Highly recommended.

I really, really liked this movie. I can't give it 5 stars because I don't agree with her decision to.... no, I won't give away any spoilers, but let's say that it still had a lot of heart and was a very well-done, well acted movie. James Stewart was the real star who pulled it off. While the end was expected, it still was... impactful, let's just say. No spoilers.

James Stewart, in one of early films is always great. But it's Margaret Sullavan that makes the movie worth watching. It's has many bits of comedy added to the drama, and lands up--well unforgettable. I will not spoil the film. It turned out being on of my favorite "new" films I got in the past year.

Is it DVD movie to watch

Jimmy Stewart is at his charming best in this film. If you thrive on the action films of today you may not like this one, but if you love old movies that tug at your heart, you can't beat this gem!
