I was confused by the reviews. And really didn't appreciate the one that had an unannounced spoiler about the end. (Shame on you!) But this was a great story!

I was riveted and finished this in one sitting (it's a novella, so that wasn't hard).

I'm finding the diary/flashback method interesting as I come across it in this psychological thriller genre.

Anyway, I don't want to give away anything, so I'll just say... if you like novellas and like psychological thrillers, and like twisty endings, you certainly will enjoy this story as much as I did.

I kept waiting for the book to get better. Every other chapter through you back in time to a journal. It was hard to be engulfed in the current when you were interrupted by the past.
The story did take a big twist and then seems to end abruptly.

Third the book ended so suddenly,tha the last paragraph

Good, quick read - the book is only 136 pages long. It looks longer, because 60 pages are previews of other books. If I had known that I would have skipped this one since I usually like a longer book

The story line did entertain me, but the ending - all though a twist, was abrupt. If I had bought this used for a couple bucks I would be satisfied, but having shelled out $8 I don't think it is worth it.

This was such a good story that it kept me riveted. It's perfect for heavy drinkers of suspense, from the first word to the last word. Great storyline, great characters. For those who care, Hinkens uses no profanity nor detailed sex scenes, but the story is not dull for that.

Love the writer and this is the second book I purchased. It is quite expensive at £8.99 for only 200 pages but when I finished the book on page 140 I was disgusted and felt totally cheated. The last 60 pages are of 2 science fiction thrillers which were rubbish in my opinion. Do not waste £8.99 buy something that lasts longer to read than 1 day.
