I really love this series, but I’m starting to have an issue with the no romance thing. Based off of how she’s been writing, there is a slight tension romantically between Zylas & Robin - and I also understand you want to slowly build on it ( relationship and trust wise ) but it’s getting so old now, I really just want one kiss scene. All we’ve had our slightly flirtatious scenes. I’m not even asking for anything sexual, just a damn peck. 😭 Guess I’ll have to wait and see if it ever happens...

I had gotten tired of beautiful book covers and stories that make me want to regret ever purchasing. Book one in series is what made me sign up for KU. I already pre-order the next book in series. Must we really WAIT an eternity!? This writer is.... Wow! Addicted to her writings.

I already plan to move unto her other books. By the looks of the synopsis, it's going to be as fun and exiting as this has been! It's a page turner and purely addictive! Looks like I'll be saving up for the author's other works. Yes, read on Kindle Unlimited. I keep checking Audible for book one. Knowing it won't to be available until the release date.

The second in this series was just as satisfying as the first.This time our super nerd, Robin, and the group are going to have to get their hands dirty if they are are going to find her uncle and get her mother's heirloom back. Masquerading as a demonica contractor in her latest guild, she meets Zora a petite badass who basically adopts Robin in true extrovert vs introvert fashion AND introduces this week's monster of the week: Vampires.
After, mowing through this series, I can't wait for the next installment.The uneven power dynamic between Xylas and Robin makes for delicious tension as well. Self preservation is hard wired into him and Robin isnt that great at it. Which Xylas takes advantage of sometimes. Honestly it has me wondering more about what demon culture is really like for Xylas. I hope we get a glimpse of it in the final installment. What was Robin's mom trying to prevent?Or wtf Claude even wants with the Book.

I was reading along like a maniac when I got to the last page, and literally wailed... I love the way this series is twisting together with Tori's, so I guess I will just be re-reading them all a few times. Do yourself a favor and start reading, this author is one of the best!

This is phenomenal. I love seeing how Zylas the demon is being with Robin. How Robin is coming to understand Zylas more and more, and care for him. They are quite the team and I hope to see how the pair possibly help Tori with Ezra and his demon. Oh how the unexpected happens in little steps and the relationships advanced in larger steps. Now if Zora would get it together and just help Robin.

And she did it again, this story will have you on the brink of insanity but in a good way. When I wasn't holding my breath, I was practically screaming at the book. The storyline is really good and dare I say, will they.... Won't they, the lead characters are so well written that every time something bad happens I almost forget I'm not the character getting maimed. This series is amazing and a definite must read for anyone who loves Demons and unusual magic. By far my favourite of this type of story.

I was ridiculously excited waiting for this book to come out and it was definitely worth the wait.
We learn a lot more about Zylas' background and Robin's backstory - and are still left wanting to know more! I really like how you begin to appreciate their different patterns of thinking and how it creates lot of interesting misunderstandings for them to work through. The plot is clearly thickening and you can start to see how the story will entwine with the other Guild Codex series...
Also, the ending certainly steps up the plot somewhat! A whole new avenue of possibilities... And that's before the cliffhanger ending which is going to make Robin and Zylas' lives even more complicated!

I feel sorry for Zylas as she keeps pushing him around or as a resulting her commonplace of self awareness his life is much harder. Hoping she pulls her head out before the end of the book.
