I like this book a lot, because it is easy to read and understand, and really looks out for the “average” person, just trying to make a living and trying to get ahead. It talks about the fact that you don’t need all of the Wall Street hype and fees, and anyone can invest wisely on their own with low or no fees. It also gives you real portfolio models that you can use, rather than the generic “ invest in good mutual funds” statement. I have read the book a few times, and use it to remind me how simple it can be to invest whenever I feel like I should do something more adventurous with my money. There is no need to.

This book will go in depth about the stock market and how your broker is fudging you hard and your not getting anymore money than the rest of us! Both authors have slightly different investing advice, but both come to the same conclusion. In the end I opted for the Swensen model for greater international exposure.
