One plan. One fake marriage. One big disaster.Everything about Dylan melts me. He's more than that ripped chest . . . those strong arms. The best thing about him is his daughter. The daughter that I babysit. He shares Maisie with his ex-wife.
But I see the concern in his eyes. He wants his daughter to be loved, to be safe . . . and he needs my help.
A fake marriage with me would win him the custody battle. The only hiccup? I let him take my V-card and get me pregnant. I shouldn't have kept it a secret.
Now, I have a baby and divorce papers on the way.
After all, our relationship was always fake . . . or was it?
Contains mature themes.

Actually would have been three stars because I do accept responsibility for downloading a book which runs true to form. Although I always hope for a unique take, I can’t blame the author for not achieving it.
However, the author could have done a little homework. A minor child cannot get a passport or leave the country without both parents’ permission. In this case especially, a passport would never have been issued to the non custodial parent. The US government takes child abduction very seriously. The State Department requires that both parents/guardians must authorize the issuance of the child's passport and obtain specific permission for each trip abroad. If you’re taking the time to write a book, get easily verifiable facts right. The judge confiscating the passport would have been sufficient bar to foreign travel.
Nor was it ever explained why mom was suddenly interested in full custody, and why her new wealthy older husband, childless apparently by choice from his two prior marriages, would want a small child around. So the basis for the big drama was never firmly established either on that front or on Dylan’s reaction to certain news I won’t reveal here in case someone can’t see it coming.
Tessa 23yo and a virgin has been working for Dylan for about 10 months and has developed quite the crush. She’s not aware that Dylan 29yo but miles apart in life experiences has a bit of a crush on her. Doesn’t matter though b/c he’s not prepared to share his life beyond Maisie, his lusty fantasies about Tessa aside. End of Story. That’s what he thinks. When his ex-wife, Veronica decides she wants to be in Maisie’s life after deserting both of them years before, what will Dylan do? Fake marriage, of course!
At first, I thought this was going to be your typical fake marriage story but Ms. Williams did a really good job roping me in. I read straight through. There were sensitive moments, angry moments, sad moments and a wonderful HEA. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout and it comes highly recommended for readers who like an actual story with their steam.
Dylan was a doting single parent father and owned several gyms. His life focused and revolved around his daughter (Maisie). He didn’t have a great childhood himself and was determined that Maisie deserved more than what he got growing up.
Tessa was the babysitter for Maisie, who just so happened to live in the house next door, which was one of Dylan’s rental properties. Tessa was in love with Dylan and Maisie and fell just as hard for the loving relationship that they had.
Dylan’s ex-wife (Veronica) early in their marriage, no longer wanted to be a mother nor a wife. She wanted to pursue a career as a super model. Three years later, she decides that she can now handle being a mom and petitions the courts for full custody of Maisie and not just joint custody. The court battle is a bitter one and the toll is effecting everyone. And in the midst of it all, there is another issue.
That just made this book better. I really liked this book and just love this world.
Can’t wait to read another book by Ajme Williams.

A fake marriage that is anything but, with more feelings than can fit on a page rolled up with a whole load of trust issues that could derail a good thing.
All for the love of a little girl.
