Sold to the Werewolf Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
Mom and dad left us without any warning, without the chance to say goodbye. Overnight, all I have left is my baby brother, Charlie. But now, he has fallen ill, and death is calling. There’s only one way I know to save him.... Zare, the head of the biker gang. But men like him never come without a price; there’s always trouble. If I agree to be his wife, he’ll take care of Charlie’s medical bills. I’m ready to take the offer and accept him as he is...as long as he keeps his promise.
It’s always been easy for me to get girls; it’s just part of the fun of being a werewolf. Good looks and strong, muscular bodies seem to be in our DNA. But finding a true mate is another story! I’ve been looking for what seems like forever and nothing.... And then, I met Jane. Getting this girl, it seems, is not so easy.... So, I made her an offer she can’t refuse.

To find out all of this story and what kind of offer Zare gives Jane, well pick this one up for a good read.
I liked Sold to a Werewolf but I feel that this novella should have been a novel to provide a better time continuity and a more developed plot. Ms. Cooper is a talented, upcoming author. She writes great dialog and steamy sex scenes—Jane and Zare have depth and interact well—but needs to work on the story arc including not rushing the ending.
If you are really into reading about werewolves, you may be disappointed with the way this story merely flitters around the edges of the genre. If you are into romances, this book provides a good love story with steamy sex scenes.

The characters were likeable and tons of chemistry between the two. The plot was good and had some action involved too. Which I always love. The title is a little misleading because Jane was never really bought. Mainly just promises between the two. The downside with this story was some points that were confusing or did not add up. The heroines name is Jane and several times in the beginning she was called Cher. Was that a nickname? The name Cher just randomly disappeared and it was Jane from there out. Also, Zare took her home one night on his bike. The next chapter he picks her up on his bike and she tells him she's never been on one before?!?...umm okay. Other than that it was an okay quick read.
What a Beautiful Heartwarming Shifter Story with heartbreaking scenes and gripping situations.
Powerful from the beginning
Jane's character is thrown into adulthood from the tragedy of losing her parents, her brother Charlie is now her sole responsibility. Her strength and love kept them afloat, but now it's going to be tested to its fullest extent.
Zare, the dark brooding sexy delicious werewolf is a character you'll find hard to forget. But what really grabs you is the compassion and strength he really feels for Jane and Charlie.
Zare may need a wife to prove his worth and strength to his clan and
Jane needs a miracle.
This story depicts their journey and will touch your heart from beginning to end.

It does also have some other minor issues with the writing. For example, Zare's age changes, so while being a shifter and they live longer than humans, and his body appears only 30-ish, it says in one scene he's like 50 but in another 70. The title also isn't accurate, because Jane is not 'sold to the werewolf', she hives herself to him. She is very attracted to Zare, a biker wolf shifter. She comes to an arranged marriage agreement with him.
It also felt quite a short read. I would have loved more of the sexy scenes between them. But these issues didn't ruin the enjoyment of this book for me,so 3 stars. In more detail, after seeing Zare at the bar where she works, Jane allows herself to have a very sexy encounter with him, to forget about her troubled life for a little while.
After this very sexy, passionate hook-up, Jane is hit with even more problems and Zare suggests a deal. Marry him, a practical stranger and he will help her out. Little does Jane know that the sexy biker, is actually a wolf shifter and his wolf has claimed her for his own.
The characters are detailed and engaging. You may need to reach for a tissue when Charlie, Jane's little brother, speaks to his doctor. I won't spoil it by giving details, except to say the characters are very easy to like. I also really like that Zare doesn't 'Claim' Jane in the usual werewolf way.
This book is an easy and enjoyable read, with well written main characters and sexy hot scenes. It was a bit short and gad other slight issues I outlined above. But I really did enjoy this. I first read this for free on kindle unlimited and I liked it enough to buy a copy to keep for £2.31, and probably tells you better than my review that I did genuinely enjoy it.
If I'm being honest this book felt more like a rough draft than a finished story, the characters needed more depth and for a book this length (it ends at just 10%) there was just too much here and it ended up feeling rushed and shallow.
#### SPOILERS ####
Zare is a biker who spends a great deal of his time in a biker bar, a bar where Jane is working. These two are attracted to each other and end up having sex one night, he doesn't have a condom but she doesn't even ask just has unprotected sex with a man she hardly knows.
So she's struggling after the death of both her parents, leaving her to care for her young brother and he's a biker with money.
He discovers she needs financial help and asks her to marry him, a marriage of convenience if she wants which seems odd considering they've already had amazing hot sex and especially considering he's a shifter and his wolf has claimed her.
'Now she was coming apart in his arms and he watched as a red mist flowed from his skin to hers, marking her invisibly with his stamp. Zare watched, fascinated as his wolf claimed the girl, the woman, in his arms. He didn’t know this could happen but he knew what it was. He was a wolf shifter after all, weird shit happened. And his wolf had just claimed a woman. Whether he’d planned it or not, she was in fact what he’d been looking for.'
One of the main things I like about shifter books is the possessive bond a wolf has with its Mate, its immediate and all consuming once recognised yet here....
“For my own reasons, I need a wife. Quickly. You need money to take care of your brother. I wouldn’t make any demands of you but that you always maintain the integrity of who we are, who I am, and my family. No flagrant affairs, no bad behavior, just stay who you are and make sure the world believes you are my wife. I’d like us to actually make an attempt at a real marriage but your plate is rather full at the moment.”
So Zare is a biker and a wolf shifter, he's also the alpha (although I have to say while I liked Zare he was disappointing as an alpha) he's also coming out to the world about the existence of wolf shifters and then he takes down the some rogues with the aid of a government task force.
This is a lot of stuff to cram into 10% of this book.
Along with all the above Jane gets kidnapped, beaten and almost raped and then she takes Charlie and runs away.
There was also confusion about Zare's age.
'Zare was, in fact, 20 years older than the mid-30s that his body displayed, closer to fifty-five than thirty-five.'
Yet a short while later.
“I’m in my 70s.” Zare paused as they gasped and looked at him with new eyes.
