4.0 out of 5 starsNot for everyone.

Happens to be the kind of movie I enjoy. Just people living life with it's ups and down. No car chases, no explosions, no super heroes.
The Setting is a enviably sumptuous property on a bucolic lake, the characters eccentric but charming (particularly Robert Sheehan as Nicholai) if somewhat under drawn. The story telling lacks focus, and the characters motivation is sometimes confusing, but still I found it endearing and watchable.

2.0 out of 5 starsAn unpleasant movie

Unlikable characters in a melodramatic and pretentious story. It tries to get the viewer emotionally involved but ends up being repellent. The cinematography is good and there is some beautiful scenery, but that can't save this movie.

The Song of Sway Lake is one of those timeless treasures that will be enjoyed for generations to come. Cinematic perfection by director Ari Gold, superb performances by all, (Robert Sheehan is always my favorite), and wonderful music!!! My daughter and I croon together Sway Lake in the car! Truly a gift, thank you guys!

1.0 out of 5 starsJust pass this one over. It's a waste of time.

This is either a horribly butchered attempt at humor, or a catastrophe of sincerity. Pass this one over.

5.0 out of 5 starsAnother movie to be watched more than once.

The music guides the viewer through historic periods up to the present. Characters have lived their entire lives guided by this music. Again, Robert Sheehan steals the movie. A second viewing gives one the opportunity to really study the setting. We can see the story through Sheehan's eyes, the grandmother's, or the grandson's. Each sees it differently.
