Shift was the first book I picked up of Heather MacKinnon, it has it all she had me wanting to scream at the main characters mainly El. You have to keep in mind when reading this she is bitten, was not a born wolf, she uses logic. I read so of the reviews and it screwed my thinking into thinking she was whining. She’s a thinker, her parents suck!! So if you love shifter books you will love this one!!

I love a good wolf shifter book as much as the next person, but...This wasn't at all what I thought I was getting myself into. I thought in buying a three book boxed set I was getting three separate books. This wasn't the case though. One story line three extremely long books. I kept reading because I needed to know how it all came to an end. I just didn't think it would talk well over a hundred chapters to get to where others have done in a third of the time. Makes me sad because I love the characters and I am afraid every story is this long. 😐

Elizabeth was bitten by a wolf in the woods. Elizabeth is helped by a man named Abraham. Elizabeth is drawn to him but there is her past she has to deal with. She is also dealing with what is happening to her. You will get a great story that features family, the love story that packs a lot of steam and the danger to her and the pack.

I loved this story from the first chapter, it will draw you in and you will not want to put this down at all. This book is a rollercoaster ride, you will love. There are so many rich characters that will you not be able to choose. From the fast pace of the action or the steamy build with the main characters.

I really have to say there is something about that slow burn that makes it so much better. My only complaint was the inner monologing was not in the best places. Like in the middle of a fight scene. The monolog could be a while page, right in the middle of an intense scene, taking away some of the tension. But great building otherwise. Did not see that coming in some parts, but knew in others.

I love you wolf shifter books and this series was wonderful. It covered love, family, and all the good stuff in between. The only reason I didn’t give this series a 5-star rating is because I cannot stand a whining female. I realize Elizabeth went through some issues with her parents and didn’t have the best example of love and family but damn can she be anymore whinny.

This series is so good! I don't often re-read books but this series is one that I will. I love Elizabeth and Abraham's story and how it progresses over the three books. This series is a combination of steamy, passionate, exciting and at times terrifying moments. This series has it all! At the core is the McCoy family that definitely shows you how family should be. Read it... You won't regret it!
