I quite enjoyed this mystery of a serial killer with a specific grudge against stock brokers. Of course, once you start killing it's difficult to stop at just one. Soon a nosy detective makes the killer's hit list along with a stoolie. The fabulous Lionel Atwill plays the prime suspect. There's just one problem with the accusations against him. Witnesses are emphatic in saying he spoke to them right after the murders. Doctors, on the other hand swear he's a deaf mute since birth and they can prove it. Can both the witnesses and the doctors be correct? While everyone is pondering that little dilemma, a prying reporter (Theodore Newton as Jack Burton) is anxious to prove it and scoop everyone. Unfortunately for him, his girlfriend (Sheila Terry as Jerry Crane) has started showing a lot of interest in the prime suspect. Even worse, the prime suspect is showing way too much interest in her (at one point he sticks his nose into her hair for a good sniff)!
