Spies of Mississippi

 (80)7.353min20147+
Enter the chilling world of anti-civil rights espionage. Spies of Mississippi reveals in shocking detail the state of Mississippi's effort to undermine the civil rights movement using a vast network of spies. Their identities will shock you. Whites and Blacks spied for Old Dixie. And the Sovereignty Commission would stop at nothing, even murder, to retain the "Mississippi way of life".

It was very interesting and it is very important information but I want a list of the names of the black spies who helped the Klan. WE need those names to be released.

It really showed just how evil these folks were. More importantly the klan and white right today are just as bad and if they could would infiltrate police forces and the government today, if they have not already. Best documentary I have watched. Most I never get through to the end. Governor was a thug. That said I think MS still has problems with white right wing suppressing voting. MS governor, house and senate are still controlled by white supremacists. They are like cockroaches or bed bugs.

5.0 out of 5 starsPowerful and well made film

I wish I could say it was shocking, but I had some idea the depravity that existed in Mississippi. This film should serve as a reminder not only to the corrupting power of prejudice, but also the effects of (for whatever cause or 'side) too much concentrated, unchecked state/government power set loose upon citizens.

A disgusting explanation of Mississippi state-sanctioned murder. So grateful individuals managed to dig up the "legally" hidden records and a measure of justice was achieved. Some justice is better than no justice.

With Trump in office it shows we really have not learned from our mistakes. Conservatives always seem to be able to use Government to its advantage. The term "hoax" is still as potent as it was back then!
