This trade paperback collects issues 13 - 14 and 19 - 20 of the 2013-14 Dark Horse comic named simply "Star Wars". This book is composed of three stories, two of which bring a bit of closure to some of the plot threads developed in the series. In the Disney acquisition of the Star Wars property, Dark Horse lost the license to produce SW comics and this volume brings the collection of the 20 issue Dark Horse title to a close.
`Days of Sith' (written by Brian Wood, pencils by Fecundo Percio, inks by Dan Parsons) is one of gems on the whole series. Told from the perspective of a lowly Imperial ensign assigned to Darth Vader for a special mission, the story follows Vader and his elite squad of a half dozen Stormtroopers around the galaxy as the Dark Lord of the Sith cleans up a few loose ends (and nicely ties up a some of the lingering story elements from the previous collections). Where Volume 2 of the series was very light on the Imperial side of things, this story is all Imperials, all the time, with Vader at his vengeful, remorseless best.
`Where Droids Go to Die' (written by Brian Wood, art by Carlos D'Ando) features Seren Song, a Rebel undercover agent and childhood friend of Princess Leia, on the run from droid bounty hunter IG-88, trying to get important information to the Alliance. Leia, Luke, Han and Chewie take the Falcon out to rescue her. It's good to have the main characters from A New Hope together again on another desperate mission. D'Ando's art is nicely detailed: the cracks and scuffing on the Falcon's interior bring the ship alive as a battered old warhorse, back in the fray again.
`The Art of the Bad Deal' (written by Zack Whedon, pencils by Davide Fabbri, inks by Christian Della Vecchia) is clearly the weakest of the trio. Originally printed as a "Free Comic Book Day" issue, it's a standalone story (which is OK), but one in which pretty much nothing of interest happens (which is not). That's particularly disappointing when the story is about Han Solo and Chewie as smugglers before they meet up with the Rebels. Lots of unrealized potential.
Two out of three is pretty good, and given that `Sith' is one of the best pieces in the entirety of this book's short run, Volume 4 rates four stars from me.

Description erronée sur l'état du livreReviewed in France on March 13, 2019
Article décrit comme Etat Bon mais il est couvert d'étiquettes, abimé sur tous les coins et les pages sont gondolées. Trop cher de le renvoyer à mes frais donc je le garde, mais très déçu.
