Please don't do this to yourself. Please don't watch this movie.

Joyless, unoriginal, and uninspired. The film ran out of steam within minutes and basically begs you to laugh at any of its painfully uninspired jokes. Why was this movie made? Did they lose a bet? Was blackmail involved? I feel sorry for the actors involved having to slog through this. By the time this movie shambled to a close, I felt angry that I had wasted the time in watching about this.

Again, there are so many other genuinely good movies out there that are deserving a watch. There's no reason, no excuse, to sit through this.

Just pathetic. I had to stop. Gross and crude and unfunny. The fact that anybody paid to make this movie, and the fact that it has four stars, just proves that America has indeed become Idiocracy. Genuinely clever parody is very rare these days. This thing is not it.

There are certainly better spoof movies out there, but I giggled at a few of the jokes in this one...

Obviously, don't expect anything ground breaking here... but the camera work, audio and special effects were all fine... I was actually kind of surprised at how accurate / real looking some of the "fake" characters from other movies looked...

( some of the bloopers at the end of the movie are funnier than the movie itself, and it's clear that everyone who acting in this were having a good time... )

There is no way this thing warrants 5 stars, nor do I understand all the 1 star ratings...

My opinion, 3 stars... Worth a watch if you haven't seen it... Probably won't bother watching again.

The actors did their things well enough. The writing/material was crap. I know the people who make these spoof movies have done much better with Disaster & Epic, but it seems when they limit themselves to one main theme they cannot keep it as funny. Spartans, Starving, Too Fast, & Vampires all fall short for the parody/spoof genre.
Save your money & go watch Movie 43, Kentucky Fried Movie, Spaceballs, etc.

2.0 out of 5 starsAs far as spoof movies go, it's in the middle of the pack

This movie falls somewhere in the middle of 007Spoof and Tooken. It's certainly nowhere up at the gold standard for parody movies - Not another Teenage Movie. Some gags were tossed in without much relevance to the plot and many have aged incredibly poorly (e.g. Fruit Ninja references). That said, President Snow's character and Effy's kept things together. There was never a dull moment, and the plot had some structure to it. So, if you want something with entertainment value to fill an afternoon and it happens to be free, put this on in the background. You may never get that time back, but were you really going to do much with it anyway?

5 minutes is all I could stand to watch, even though I'm sick in bed with nothing much that I'm able to do.

unfortunately this seems to be the norm for spoof movies, simply go for the low hanging fruit
the numerous 5 star reviews seem to be payed reviews
the first 5 star review even plugs 3 other movies from these hacks

2.0 out of 5 starsNot every movie needs a parody

I enjoy the occasional parody movie. This one just felt lacking, and a lot of the jokes fell flat. Depended a lot on slapstick humor and over the top jokes which didn't really fit the movie's mood. I feel like this movie could have done with being more general, instead of latching on to a popular franchise. A parody of all the previous battle royale movies and shows would have been more enjoyable, I feel, than just focusing on The Hunger Games. It has a few laughs in it but few and far between. The plot is a muddled mess even compared to the source material. It has some fair acting but seems to suffer terribly from poor writing and possibly directing.
