So I'm rather new to the investment world and where I have done a lot of google, talking to financial advisors and readings. What this book really helped me understand is that the way of thinking from the above methods of "Get rich quick" or even the "Retirement plan following these simple steps" isn't as rainbow and sunshine as the things you see. What Mr. Stephen has been able to do is break down comprehensively how a lot of these myth's aren't really full proof. What I truly enjoyed about this book wasn't just the visual representation's that the numbers and graphics played out, but also how in detail he discussed these more mainstream ideas and this book really was able to help me to open up my mind to what I thought I knew, because I'm a pro "googler". When in fact so many of these myths I would have never come across or even thought to ask questions on. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for great learnings in both the retirement planning but to open up your mind in the financial aspect of the "12%" magic isn't always what you read in the books, articles or google search's.
I am actually looking forward to the paperback copy when it drops so I can share this with my family for them to read!

Logical breakdown of common investing advice

I read this on my iPhone on the Kindle App. I'm including a couple of screenshots to show how the formatting lines up for that device (I actually like how it looks, and I don't particularly like reading on my phone).The entirety of my (slim) investing knowledge comes from listening to Dave Ramsey's podcast and reading some of his books (and books from people on his team). I love what they have to say and it has always made sense to me. However, in one chapter Spicer completely breaks that thinking down bit by bit, giving examples along the way. The conversationalist tone of his writing and simple formatting of his examples make the logic easy to follow, even if you don't consider yourself a math person.I think this is a book everyone needs to get their hands on (or get the eBook).
