This was a good UNDERRATED film

I don’t know how to describe why, ( in a short review that people can read quickly and succinctly), I believe this is a film that was good, but could have been ONE OF THE GREATS… I’m gonna throw out some titles this film contained genre elements of… it had the potential because it crossed genres in a way we rarely see done well.. ex. Take greats like Lethal Weapon and Silence of The Lambs - into one movie… or Beverly Hills Cop with Seven, 48 Hours with The Bone Collector, Kiss the Girls with Speed…. Do you get the picture? And I just name movies the gen pop would recognize… Basically this movie had that raw material, Good/ great actors, awesome baseline story, but fell short and I don’t know facts but an educated guess old be budget someone who didn’t see potential original script had , and direction… That said, the crew actor’s directors producers made the best of what they had in front of them… which is why it’s not regarded as a great movie, despite it being a better STORY that other critically acclaimed films in its era that if you watch now you think( hmm i know this is a blockbuster, but what the f! Honestly die hard 2, any one watch that recently and scratch your head cause you love the franchise and Bruce Willis but can’t help but think dang, this is a disaster , it’s like they took tropes a good base character, explosions, and Bruce crawling around vents popping up every now and then to shoot a bad guy like a wack-a-mole ; pieced together a movie with gum and duct tape - and that’s the final product) sorry tangent, POINT IS
For some reason people didn’t push this movie to be greater when even as it stands is still a better movie that dh2…
Ok Recommend- it’s worth a low not wanting to think mood , cop mystery movie ( keeping in mind the era it was made.. no fancy bells like they can do in post like today…) it was really good in my opinion!

This wouldn't be my top Bruce Willis films but it's a great thriller & action film. Great storyline & acting. Great performances and roles by Bruce Willis, Sarah Jessica Parker, Tom Sizemore & Robert Pastorelli. Highly recommend.

A nice diversion

So the basic theme of each episode is; bad guy got away last time but we tracked him here its extremely dangerous and the country we need to go to does not want us there. A gorgeous sexy women will be there and sex will happen. They will find the bad guys possibly be betrayed by someone and then be discovered in the country and have lots and lots of shooting and fighting and barely survive. The bad guy will escape (unless it is the final show of the season) and everyone will meet at base to talk about how close it was or fight with each other about something. Roll credits. Repeat.

Bruce Willis was the 1990s action hero!

In the age of streaming, I am working to have a physical movie collection like Nick Frost's character in Hot Fuzz (one of the greatest movies of all time by the way). No action movie collection would be complete without a few Bruce Willis movies, and Striking Distance is a must. Who else could shoot a flare from a moving boat into a moving car, other than Bruce Willis? Nobody. This movie is classic 1990s action.

Fully entertaining..!

This is a great movie, there is nothing you can not like in this movie.

Bruce willis as well as the rest of the cast did a good job in this movie with very good acting, the plot is also entertaining with some twists in it, the whole thing about how all the family members of Bruce are cops is just cool, reminded me a little of cop land (town of cops), but this movie is even better than cop land.

Tom sizemore performance was also noticable, even Sarah jessica parker was good here.

currently, i only own a VHS copy of the movie, but if any one have not seen it yet, my advice is to buy the DVD because this movie is worth it and is FULLY ENTERTAINING !

Good Bruce Willis Movie

I like Bruce Willis. I like his history of morally encumbered men trying to do the right thing. In this movie he is not completely bad, like in 16 Blocks where he plays a dedicated alcoholic cop who raises his head up to do this last good thing. That was a good movie too. But this one finds him working with Michael J Pollard, I mean Sarah Jessica Parker, Dennis Farina, Tom Sizemore and Brion James. Great cast. Good conflicting plot. And, Michael J. Pollard lives in the end. Defiantely worth it. Johnn P.

Good pace with twists and turns. Good action and solid acting. Picture is OK but not stunning. An adult "situation" but no nudity. Good movie.
