Blog postI am notorious for doing a bad job at listing my releases over the past year. So, I’m thrilled to share that I had 3 wintertime drabbles (100-word stories) featured in the anthology ‘Winter Shocks’ from Black Ink Fiction. The three are, “The Night Before The End”, “Yule Be Sorry”, and “The Naughty List.” The […]

Blog postSo, I’ve recently “co-written” a story titled ‘The Peculiar Pyramid’ for the theme “Stories of Solace.” It even won a prize! The interesting part of co-writing this? My co-writer was an artificial intelligence. (Thank you future robot overlords, please spare me or make my end quick in the coming robot apocalypse.) The contest was run […]

Blog postWell folks, another world I’ve been slowly working on creating is a fantasy realm and we’re making another visit to it in Black Hare Press’s ‘Reign’. In it, you’ll find “Putting Things in Perspective’ which introduces one of the lead characters in the first novella I’m planning on releasing in this new world! I’m sorry […]

Blog postBlack Ink Fiction has just released ‘Infection’ which is the first anthology in their “Legends of Night” series. Blog post“Sarah and the Clicker” is a very different type of story from what I usually write and was originally featured online. Blog postA tenth (and final?) drabble collection is out from Black Hare Press and this one is all about the ‘Ancients.’ This anthology tells us modern tales about God’s and Goddesses’ long thought gone from our world. What are they up to these days and how do they exist in a modern world full of science and technology?
This anthology includes 5 of my drabbles (100-word stories) titled:

Blog postMy latest short story “The Hard Cases” has been released in the western horror anthology ‘The Dark Frontier.’ I’ve been hoping to find a home for this one for the last couple of years. Westerns don’t tend to be my thing for writing, however, I grew up listening to a LOT of Louis L’Amour on audiobooks from my grandmother’s love for them. So, when writing this I kept that narrator’s voice and tone in mind on putting the story together. You can pick up a copy on Amazon!

Tiny tales of horror.
We all have a fascination for things that scare us—the thrill, the heart-stopping jump scares, the terrifying suspense. From the youngest age, we’re fascinated by the fiendish and furry, the creepiest critters, the naughty and the nasty. Horror is all around us, from the clowns who hide under our bed, to the things we might drag up from the brook at the bottom of the garden, and the zombies who crawl our streets.
As author, Megan Feehley, so beautifully says; there is beauty just before the terror…a silken breath taken before the spill of righteousness…the warmth of a licking flame preceding the scald.
So, close the drapes, check the locks, turn on all the lights and get comfortable. But don’t close your eyes…
Never close your eyes...
