My 7-year-old twins love to read but finding books they enjoy is difficult. Stuart is wonderful. He is witty but the humor is appropriate for a 6 to 9-year-old. His description of a "little cookie town" is wonderful. Stuart's imagination is wonderful. I wish there were more Stuart books. The illustrations are perfect and help add to the whimsical nature of the story. My boys loved reading both Stuart books. I have been looking for a series of books for my boys that keep it simple and fun ( but I guess these two books are a great start).

Stuart's Cape by Sara Pennypacker is a wonderful story about a very imaginative boy. He has many adventures while wearing his cape, from flying because he ate too much light and fluffy angel food cake to growing his favorite food: toast with butter. I liked this story because it showed how imaginative kids can be. It also made me think about using my own imagination. Sara Pennypacker has a great imagination if she can come up with such a funny story. I can't wait to read her next book!

I loved Stuart's Cape. It is a great book that tells of the imaginative adventures of the main character Stuart. He goes through such adventures as sleeping on a giant bed made of toast to floating high in the sky and the only way down is to eat pound cake. The illustrations that accompany the story bring the entire book to life. This is truly a great read for anybody of any age.
