It turns out my abnormally accurate intuition is a bit more than that. I’m a psychic. And a witch. And the people that raised me? Not my biological parents.
I would have loved a second to absorb this information, but the night I’m told the truth I get shipped off to a school for people like me . . . and shifters . . . and vampires because they exist in real life too.
Fans of Meg Xuemei X and & G. Bailey will love this slow-burn reverse harem series.

About the author

Lexie loves white chocolate mochas, color-coded calendars, and spoiling her child, a Goldendoodle with more energy than any single being should have. She’s a habitual procrastinator and would almost always rather be reading or planning her next adventure.
She loves writing multiple book boyfriends and never making you choose just one.

The rules raise more questions than answers as she makes her way to the Academy. However, when she arrives, she is in for some shocks. I do love that she makes friends quickly. She has some secrets she must not tell, and she seems somewhat unique.
Magical learning, new friend, and boy trouble; yup, this Academy book is the perfect depiction of supernatural high school. On top of Saige's natural witch abilities, she also seems to have extra powers, and some new abilities manifest. Her journey from human to paranormal is exciting and relatable for a new adult / young adult story. I even like the supposed love triangle the author creates in the story. The only issue is I'm
I am not hooked enough to read any further.
I will say the Way that they Start the story as a little confusing. Basically they don't tell her much of anything and they throw her into the school and the whole entire Supernatural community. Which doesn't make sense considering her Mother's family is high in the community you think they would have given her a crash course of what she shouldn't shouldn't do and information about what was going on especially since she's close to her aunt.
Everything points to this book being something I should love. Don’t get me wrong, I like our MC, her friends, the love interests and the premises for the book. What I didn’t vibe with was the writing style. It felt like times there was info dumps and then times to show us a potential love interest, more info dumps and it didn’t always flow. We were left with lots of questions and very little was actually answered.
I hope there is more interaction with the other supes and their abilities and more of our MC’s powers. More magic is always the answer!
I wish there was more developement between our MC and her love interests, it felt like we were told and not necessarily shown that there was an attraction with them.
Saige has no idea that she is a supernatural being, until she starts to manifest powers.
She’s quickly shipped off to a magical boarding school, where shifters, vampires, and witches exist, and where she can learn to harness her powers.
This series is a typical RH magical academy one, loosely linked to the Sorcerer’s Society books by the author, the characters from which appear in this book, but don’t interact with the heroine.
This means of course, that you can expect a variety of magical abilities, spells, and classes as with all good high school magic tales.
There is an overarching background story, in which the mystery of the heroine’s past is a prominent point, but very little about that is learned in this book.
It’s an entertaining read, with a main character whose abilities are intriguing, especially within her dreams!
An enjoyable read with some interesting characters for fans of YA fantasy, Academy series, and the reverse harem trope.
