Fantastic read.. all the emotions
I could not put this book down once I started it.. no really.. I cooked breakfast while reading (turns out the dog won't eat a raw egg that is dropped on the floor), fed the dog, and did two loads of laundry.. all while still reading hahaha.

An entire gamut of human emotions fill these pages...from loss, to life and love. And, happiness and grief are also featured. Amazing compilation of events make this an excellent read...

Truly an excellent read from the beginning to the end. This novel is worthy of more than 5 stars, I believe. The author has managed to combine life's events with natural occurrences in a masterful manner.

I have not often been this invested in the romance aspect of a book. The conflicts and struggles encountered here, however, lend a feeling of "will they make it" which is something Quinn does masterfully...

This is one of those books that will stay with me for a long time.

It was emotionally charged story from the very beginning. The reader empathizes with the main characters right from the start. We are pulled in to their turmoil and hope for a good outcome for them. The author really put her characters through the wringer in this story.

If you love good, romantic suspense you need to pick up a copy of this book, it is spectacular.

Major Dani Addams, US Army veterinarian surgeon tugs, at your heart from the beginning. Tripwire AKA Trip is a member of the Iniquus Security Elite Tactical Search and Rescue Team...(Did I mention he was a SEAL previously?)... His main girl is a canine named Valor AKA Big Mama... They are on the hunt for the Major and the search begins.

Toss in a cyclone event with snow and wind to make the search even more intense. Just try to imagine an event of that magnitude on your horizon.

Truly an excellent read from the beginning to the end. This novel is worthy of more than 5 stars, I believe. The author has managed to combine life's events with natural occurrences in a masterful manner.

Most highly recommended and looking forward to the next one.

This book features Trip, a former SEAL, and Valor, his search and rescue dog. They are members of Iniquus Security's Search and Rescue teams, and this is the story of their search and rescue of Dani, a veterinarian, during a huge wind and snow event in the mountains. I love the characters that we come to know through this story. I enjoyed all the parts about Valor, how search dogs train and work, and how deeply dogs love. This is an exciting, lovely book! I look forward to more in the the Cerberus Tactical K9 series!!!

A US Army officer goes on a hike to grieve for a colleague who was killed overseas. She gets halfway and is ready when a K-9 rescue team shows up and warns her about an upcoming mega storm. The rescue team goes one way and she another. Eventually the team is ordered to go back and find her when she does not get back to the lodge. He finds her, gets her out of a sticky situation after she fell. They hole up in a cabin and eventually are rescued.

This novel takes us into the world of K-9 rescue operations and the dangers related to them. It also shows us a side of the war in Afghanistan that we do not see very often--the emotions our soldiers go through when their close friends and colleagues are killed in action. AND, it explains it explains the bond between dog and handler.

This book is a fast read and fun. I recommend it to anyone who wants an adventure story. My only complaint is some of the terms used when the rescue professionals are communicating with each other. Other than that it is a fun book and sets you in a situation many of us have never experienced or heard of.

This book had so much I loved; romance, adventure, animals, emotional angst, and I'll repeat, animals. I love animals but I'm ususally ambivalent about animals in books. Not this time. Valor with her raised doggy brows and hugs completely won me over. Not to mention I grieved along with Dani for Daisey's death (for me, more so than the human with her!) And Rory! He was only mentioned in the book and yet I had all the feels (hope to see him back with Trip in a future story).

Dani and Trip are a perfect fit for each other and their relationship developed beautifully amidst the dramatic circumstances of a search and rescue situation. I'm looking forward to meeting them again in future books in this series.

Dani is a military dog veterinarian and Trip is a search and rescue guy. They meet on a trail on a mountain. Dani is there completing a promise to one of her friends and Trip is there looking for a group of people shooting a modelling scene. There's a bad storm coming and everyone needs to get back to the lodge. Dani heads back to the lodge and Trip goes further up the mountain looking for the group. He gets a call from headquarters stating they got a call from Dan's mom worried that she went up there to commit suicide. Trip is tasked to locate her and bring her to the lodge any way he can. Dani is doing well then she steps forward on the trail and the ground disappears and she's sliding down the mountain. Will Trip find Dani before the storm hits? Will Dani be alive from the fall? Great story.

Trip and Dani have to live through a bomb cyclone before they can discover what is between them. With the help of Valor, Trip's K9 search and rescue dog, they will have to use every ounce of knowledge they have to survive.

I have read all of Fiona's books and I truly believe this is the best one. Maybe it is because I just recently lost my dog of the heart, maybe because Dani is an incredible, strong woman who can do anything, maybe because Trip is a strong, resourceful man who loves his dog. Fiona is known for her amazing characters. Each character has an amazing story that when weaves becomes an intricate part of Iniquus. They become part of the family.

The part you always cheer and root for. I will be reading again.

Wow, Fiona Quinn is a new author to me but I have loved this book and will definitely be reading more. There is hardly time to blink , this story is full of breathtaking action. I absolutely loved the relationship between Dani, Trip and Valor the K9 and could completely relate to the concept of dogs of the heart. There is so much emotion in this story, a great book.

It’s cold here and the wind is gusting, so honestly, this was the perfect time to pick up this book. I’m a sucker for K9 search books, and this was a winner, right up until the coincidences between Trip and Dani’s lives came out and then it kind of lost a bit of its sparkle. Valour was adorable, and the rescue on the trail had my eyes glued to the screen as I waited to see if it was successful. The secondary plot with the media crew was pretty much a non-event after it got Trip and Valour on the trail. Then there was the Tiana angle which could have been so gripping, but kind of fizzled out. Still, it was an engaging read.
