Derek Shupert pens an interesting story with very human characters. Family drama, bad guys, really bad guys and good guys drive the action in this book. While killing takes place, there is restraint in the description, no really gory scenes. The good guys have remorse about having to take a life. Females take strong leading roles and provide great examples for younger readers. All in all, a well written, fast paced, EMP story

Derek Shupert has done it again! I have read A LOT of post-apocalyptic books but he’s the first to bring me along as his characters run into the thick of it in a population dense city….If you’re a fellow fan of this genre or a prepper you know running into a city is probably the last thing you would want to do. But not only does he take us there he does it with the grit and realistic aspects that keep you on the edge of your seat. If you’re a woman and appreciate a female character that can hold her own then Derek definitely doesn’t disappoint. Not only does he avoid the typical tropes he has many strong female characters to choose from as strong and capable of heading into the chaos. He also unpacks some great unique family dynamics. Those little details along with the unfolding of the development of the people in his stories is masterful. Each new book in the series evolves on every level, making his storytelling complex yet realistic when compared with what is possible in a real life apocalypse. I’m so glad I found him thanks to DD12. I could keep going on and on about how awesome this series is but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone new to his books. Just go get the book!

From beginning to end it is a roller coaster ride of adventure, strong characters (Alex, Vee, Wendy and Ranger - just to name a few) and plot twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat! Books 1 and 2 were great - and #3 Survival Point is beyond great! Not sure how he will top this with book 4. Anyone that is interested in post-apocalyptic fiction, prepping or the like - this is a must read. Not only is it filled with action packed chapters (that are believable and make sense - especially in today's climate) but has many survival tips and tricks throughout the book. I've definitely picked up a few tips from Mr. Shupert. Well done! Can't wait to see where the characters go from here :)

A page-turner that will keep you reading. I’m an avid reader /fan of Author Derek Shupert! I know that he is a fast writer but I have been looking forward to this book, after reading the 2 previous books in this series and am glad it got to me sooner rather than later. The story continues the chapters alternating with Alex and his daughters story in action paced adventure. I love reading about the dog character in this story about the power grid in Texas going down. You’ll love this post-apocalyptic thrill ride.
I highly recommend that you read it, but don't expect to sleep! Alex fights to get the money from the Accountant to make it safe for his daughter.
Looking forward to the next book in the series!

This is one of those books that you're hanging on to the edge of your seat. You can guess what's gonna happen next but it's gonna blow your mind when you read it. I LOVE Wendy! She's such a strong willed young lady that I hope my kiddo takes after her! I have enjoyed every second of this series! I hope there's another book after this one, very soon!!!
