About Suzy Giordano
Affectionately known as "the Baby Coach," she's worked with Washington, DC-area families as an infant sleep specialist for ten years and shared her expertise in The Baby Sleep Solution: A Proven Program to Teach Your Baby to Sleep Twelve Hours a Night.
Suzy started sleep training babies all the way back in 1992. In-vitro was first being introduced and a close friend found herself a new mom of three! Suzy offered to help and before she knew it the Babycoach method was born. At first, Suzy focused on triplets and greater multiples (the woman doesn't know the meaning of the word easy), and in time parents of twins began to come calling. Soon after, word began to spread and Suzy was training singletons, twins, triplets, greater multiples, toddlers, children, and even preteens!

Dec 5, 2006
$12.99
Suzy Giordano, affectionately known as "The Baby Coach," shares her highly effective sleep-training method in this step-by-step guide to let both baby and parent enjoy long, peaceful nights. Full of common sense and specific tips, the Baby Coach's plan offers time- and family-tested techniques to help any baby up to the age of 18 months who has trouble sleeping through the night.
Originally developed for newborn multiples, this sleep-training method worked so well with twins and triplets that families with singletons and older babies began asking Suzy to share her recipe for success, resulting in: regular feeding times; 12 hours' sleep at night; three hours' sleep during the day; peace of mind for parent and baby; and less strain on parents - and their marriage. This edition includes a new chapter on implementing the program with babies up to 18 months.

“Suzy Giordano has done it again! She has given us unrivaled insight and direction into how to help our toddlers and young children sleep…. According to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics, sleeping, the recommended number of hours is associated with improved learning and memory, better attention, better emotional regulation and a better quality of mental and physical health. So, how is good sleep achieved in young children? Well, I hope that’s why you have chosen this book. Following in the brilliant approach found in her first book (12 Hour’s Sleep by 12 Weeks Old), Ms. Giordano gives us a practical guide to making high quality sleep more than just a hope or aspiration; she helps us make it a reality.” --Dr. Philip Floyd
“Suzy and her team were with our family for just a few nights, but their legacy will last for many years. Suzy's methods were the perfect fit. There is a process but there is also built-in flexibility that allows us to "stretch" the kids depending on our calendar. She taught our little ones how to navigate from a maximum of 2 hours of sleep at a time to between 10-12 per night. That's a gift for them and their own physical/mental development but if I'm being honest, that was also a gift to us as their parents. They wake up each morning rested and ready to tackle the day. And so, do we.” --Andrea from Washington D.C.
“Suzy has this amazing way of being absolutely loving and firm all at once. It was inspiring and helped us gain so much confidence as parents. I am forever grateful to Suzy for the immeasurable ways she has helped our family.” --Annie Raykher
“I want to thank Suzy and the Babycoach team for this book. All of the training went so smooth and my son sleeps 12 hours a night. Everyone is always so amazed when I tell them how well he sleeps. He has a great feeding and sleep schedule that we have been able to stick to. (Sometimes you need to be willing to wake a sleeping baby). Due to the way my son responded to the training; I can have peace of mind as a working mom as I return to work. Thank you so much for the teachings and trainings in your book. It works! I loved it and recommend it to all moms to be that I know.” --Stephanie Hoff Jackson
“When my first daughter was born, I didn’t know what I was in for. Thankfully, a dear friend recommended Suzy. ‘You have to call Suzy’, she said. ‘Call her now!’ This was when I was three months pregnant! What!?!? Done, and done.
Fast forward to when Carmen was born. I delivered via c-section. Suzy and Marcella were there from that first night I came home. I can’t tell you how a) fortunate I feel that I could hire them to help me. And b) how reassuring it was to know they’d be there to help me when I got home-especially considering the pain I was in and our feelings of ‘now what!?’ They were literally an encyclopedia of knowledge on all things infant.” --Kelly Mistretta
