Swim, Duck, Swim! Hardcover – Picture Book, May 20, 2014
It's time for Duckling to jump in the water and do what ducks do―swim! But he doesn't want to get wet. He'd rather take a nap. And he's really, really mad that everyone keeps telling him what to do!
Luckily, Mama and Papa Duck are very, very patient, and soon, Duckling will join his siblings in the pond. Here is a charming story, illustrated with exquisite, up-close photos, that will help young readers learn to swim―or try anything new.

"Clever, adorable photographs enhance this thoroughly engaging story of a little duckling who does not want to swim. Children love it when the little quacker finally takes a plunge, leading to a joyous ending."
ALSC Blog/The Official Blog of the Association for Library Service to Children
"Even if the text weren't wonderful and so well suited to pre-schoolers, and the message SO appropriate for the age level, Murray Head's photographs would make this book a gem for me. The enchanting close-up photographs are full-page with the large-size text imposed over the top. It's not easy to choose a favorite as these wonderful pictures of the duck family would win over the hardest of hearts. This book is the definition of cute!"

along following their Mama, she got so excited and started quacking!
Getting this book was a natural.
It's illustrated with a real duck family... the thing is they are NOT illustrations,
but rather amazing, colorful photographs. The quality and sweet expressiveness
of the photos is something I've never seen.
And then there is the story--what a valuable lesson it is for children.
The duck family's adventure is a parable about growing up and
overcoming childhood fears. I think when it comes time to learn to swim...
she's gonna go like a duck to water.
I was struck by the amazingly candid images of the duck family and the quality of the photography. Actually, I can say that I also read this one cover to cover!
This book added to my status as favorite uncle. I would highly recommend it.
