GREAT ENTERTAINMENT

This movie is absurd. Absurd people having absurd conversations and absurd experiences in absurd settings. I can see why critics called it very funny and others called it stupid. This would also be a great movie for pseudo-intellectuals to read all kinds of meaning into everything, but I liked it simply because it was very entertaining. Not a single boring moment. Interesting characters. Great picture and sound with unexpected impact when elements of the sparse soundtrack kick in. I also have to point out that while this is not a gay movie, I can see why it was in the gay section. The marvelously endowed lead character is VERY generous with the full frontals! I love it, and with all the chaos, wide scope, and excellent pace, I can watch it many times in the future.

An extraordinary movie about identity, both national and personal

This is an extraordinary movie about identity, both national and personal. I read somewhere that this is the lead actor’s (Tom Mercier) first film. And he is amazing. He is in nearly every frame of the film and you can’t take your eyes off him. The writers and director have purposely left things ambiguous so that we, the discerning audience, can make of it all what we will. This is a movie to feel in the moment and think about for a good deal of time afterward.

this viewing was more a cryptic puzzle than going to watch a movie. if the point was to end the film making you wonder what 'exactly' you just experienced it succeeded. it was extremely forceful in brain linking thoughts trying to put together what was seen and what is to come. I simply need more explanation if there is explanation. I DO enjoy the journey, but I wish I knew where I had been.

Phenomenal

I was blown away by Tom Mercie’s performance in this deeply layered, funny and energetic tale.
It’s absolutely one of the best films I’ve seen this year. Also, I really want Émile to gaze lovingly at me too (Quentin Dolmaire)

Something for the artistic ones.

It was different and very artistic. If you liked something with different sexual overtones, this is the film for you. What can I say? I love foreign films.

What a messy stupid movie@

Great handsome actor, but the film is so dreadful that not even that good cast can save it. The film is just
utter senseless, illogical, untrue; contrary to all reason or common sense; laughably foolish , absurd.
Wasted of money and time.

Main character was not very likable

I don't understand the meaning or significance of this film. I didn't like the lead character and no real warmth or redeeming qualities in the other characters either. What was the point of this story?
