About T.E. Bradford
Tracy is a writer, singer-songwriter, cancer survivor and proud wife and mother. Born and raised in Central New York, she will tell you that her parents gave her the two best tools in her arsenal by reading to her and raising her in a Christian household. In spite of the long CNY winters she continues to live there with the husband that God created just for her, and the son who is her forever best story. In her heart, she feels that her gift of writing is a little piece of magic, and that it is both her privilege and grandest adventure to find new ways to stretch a hand out to touch the wonder of this vast universe God created.

Parables, especially, have a dual purpose. Not only do they keep us entertained, but they also make a point. Consider Aesop’s Fables—tales of talking animals who learn valuable life lessons.
Jesus used parables, too. The people who followed him were hungry to understand life and what was beyond. So Jesus did what every great teacher does—he used the power of story. With common characters and conflicts, he wove tales that made complex spiritual issues easier to understand.
Collected for you here are several parables set in far-away galaxies, on fascinating planets, and in the coldest depths of space. Characters. Conflict. Enlightenment.

MACs (Manufactured Anodic Commandoes) were designed for battle. Most believe sending robotic soldiers into combat is better than risking human lives. But Cara has seen what happens when unfeeling, soulless automatons decide who lives and who dies. Machines don’t care whether the enemy is holding a rake instead of a gun, or that a six-year-old girl watches from a bedroom window. All they know is what they were programmed for—destruction.
When Cara finds herself wounded and defenseless in the middle of a battle zone, she has no choice but to use the only weapon she can find: a disabled MAC. Without him, she won’t make it out alive. With him, she might come out a different person. Will hate destroy her? Or will the natural love of a creator for its creation open her eyes to a truth that changes everything?
Fifteen-year-old Nova Hawthorne sees sounds, a condition called Synesthesia, a trait that’s branded her a freak. But there’s a reason she doesn’t fit anywhere in this world – she’s from another one. And prophecy says she’s destined to destroy them both.
