Only a few short months after Humanity’s first interstellar flights, the first shots have been fired in what will eventually become known as the Alliance Wars.

Terran Fleet Command teeters on the edge of chaos in the aftermath of Chairwoman Crull’s removal from power, while in space, Earth’s defense falls squarely on the shoulders of Admiral Kevin Patterson. With only a small number of ships capable of bringing the fight to the enemy, he makes the bold decision to divide his forces, meeting the Resistance task force head-on at two separate locations.

Captain Tom Prescott and crew aboard the destroyer Theseus meet with initial success on the battlefield, only to be faced with the arrival of a warship completely out of her class – armed with weapons for which she is not prepared.

As the Resistance task force makes its final approach to Earth, a new ally warns of the horrors that will be visited on our homeworld if the coming attack succeeds. In the meantime, the enigmatic Guardian watches and waits, noncommittal as to its role as a protector or a mere observer.

Yet hope remains – as a friend of Humanity finally comes to grips with his destiny.

Born in 1969, four months before the first Apollo moon landing, Tori Harris grew up during the era of the original Star Wars movies and is a lifelong science fiction fan. During his early professional career, he was fortunate enough to briefly have the opportunity to fly jets in the U.S. Air Force and is still a private pilot who loves to fly. Tori has always loved to read and now combines his love of classic naval fiction with military Sci-Fi when writing his own books. His favorite authors include Patrick O’Brian and Tom Clancy as well as more recent self-published authors like Michael Hicks, Ryk Brown, and Joshua Dalzelle. Tori lives in Tennessee with his beautiful wife and Bizkit, his intrepid, ten-pound Bichon Shih Tzu.

This is great old style space opera: space battles, aliens, good guys (and gals), bad guys (and gals), diabolical political maneuvering, and the good guys triumphing over almost insurmountable odds. This is entertaining and fast moving. While each book can stand alone, the entire five book set is a continuous story line following the adventures of several characters without a break. As this was written by an ex-Air Force jet pilot, the combat scenes and military politics ring true. The physics may take a little suspension of disbelief but that's par for the course. A good read and highly recommended if you like this genre.

In my opinion, the series is getting better as it progresses, but perhaps that is simply because I am getting more drawn into Harris's created world the further I go. If you are a fan of Joshua Dalzelle, Vaughn Heppner, or Nick Webb, I think you will thoroughly enjoy Tori Harris's The Terran Fleet Command Saga. Once again, thank you for writing a book that is clean enough to read out loud to my kids

All 4 of Tori's books were super good. The characters are well described so you get to know them. The space science is well done. The story is excellent 5 stars. The editing is A #1 (I'm a stickler for misspelling and word choice errors etc.
Can't wait for his next book so I took Tori's word and looked up his suggested authors and found Ep. 6 "For the Triumph of Evil" by Ryk Brown. I've read the other 5 and they were 5 Star too.

Solid, high-action military sci-fi. The storyline is fast moving and the battles are engaging. The focus is very much on the technology and tactics, with comparatively little character development; in fact, it is only in this third book that we start to get some of the personal back story of one of the main (alien) characters. This focus may count as a pro or as a con, depending on your point of view. If you are looking for action and tech, this continues to be a great series. If you want a romantic sub plot or commentary on societal values, look elsewhere. However, the political context of the conflict is fairly well-presented and, within its context as a sci-fi series, the storyline is plausible.

The main weakness of the series so far and the reason that I give it four starts instead of five is that the main alien race, the Wek, are just way too similar to humans. For example, they use the same naval ranks. Having said that, I'm looking forward to the fourth book and further work from Mr. Harris.

In Book 3, the techno-babble (as another reviewer so eloquently put it) continues unabated. There are, once again, an apparently never-ending series of battles between the various starships and detailed descriptions of the various energy weapons involved. Once again, the characters involved are unchanged.

Whilst this storyline was moderately interesting (slightly overdone) in Book 1 it is, now we’ve reached Book 3, little more than repetitively boring. Thus the two star rating.

The ending of the book – and the less than subtle hints in some of the blurb – indicates that there will be at least another book in the series, presumably some time in 2017?

I liked the pace and no last minute "saved by an amazing find". I was let down a bit by repetition of the story so far in the officers briefings. Please don't do that it isn't necessary. Questions can be asked and plot lines augmented without repeating entire chapters. Would score 5 if not for that.
