Lexi Blake is a must buy, must read author. This collection of stories are easy to follow and difficult to put down. No editing errors, gratuitous violence or drag-you-down drama.
These stories focus on Ian and Charlie’s lives. Descriptive writing that draws the reader into each scene. Believable characters with distinct personalities and great banter. Thought-provoking and memorable dialogue. Ian and Charlie’s love, Ian’s idea of family and Ian’s conversations with Natasha and Sasha are beautifully written.
‘This was the way it was with him and his brother. They worked out their issues through sarcasm. They didn’t need the therapy crap other people did.‘
‘She responded to a man strong enough to take her sh@@ and protect her from whatever the he@@ she was afraid of.’
I will re-read this book and always look forward to, pre-order when possible, new works by this author.
My second favorite was Homecoming when Ian and his girls went to bring home his and Charlotte's adopted Russian daughter, Natasha. Especially touching was Ian's dream about his conversation with Natasha's deceased father.
I will never be able to think of Ian as big and bad again, and I thank you Lexi for letting us get to know him like this.
This book was fantastic, fun and delightful. Nothing really new for Lexi fans. Loved it.
Sweet fun read, especially the last story!

I can't say just how much I loved this book, for any fan of the Masters and Mercenaries series this is heaven. Loads of life stories that provide a huge amount of Ian -isms and enough sarcasm to last a year. I totally laughed out loud more times than I can recall and had a moment or two of tears as well.
There is a light element of D/s and I will certainly recommend the book but would advise the series is read in order to enable a new reader to get the best enjoyment.
