This series keeps getting better each book. If you have read other series by K. N. Banet you probably know she has at least one book where there is a gathering of sorts and we get to meet other supernaturals of the species and learn a lot of new information about the past of our main characters. This is the gathering book for Every and it is great. One of my favorites so far.
We get to ser Everly interact with some of the oldest vampires in the world and it helps the reader see how Alexius is really treated by fellow vampires.
There are some sweet almost cute glimpses at Every and Alexius’ life and working dynamics in this book which is also full of intense and dangerous moments for some of our favorite vampires.
I am really looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Once again K. N Banet has brought us a book I know I will read again.

Alexius is definitely my favorite leading male character in the whole tribunal universe, and honestly wish we had even more chapters from his perspective. I felt as though slowly but surely Everly is coming out of her shell. I loved this story and it obviously left me wanting more, because I felt it was just the first half of a full book (even though it’s just one of many in the series). I can’t wait to see the plot progress and to see the relationship start moving in a faster pace. I would have liked to have known more about the ancients and guests at that gathering and had more in-depth looks into their lives. Not to give anything away but the protagonist in this novel… I had to look up through search to even figure out who they were, and when they even entered the scene. I liked the book a lot but felt rather rushed.

I'm enjoying this series, but I do have a bone to pick with the author. About 1/3 of the book felt like fluff. Excessive descriptions of life for Everly as a newbie vampire. I get what you were doing, establishing her motivation, building a foundation, etc. But no. Way, way too much of that.

I know others may disagree with me, but this was not character building. It has its place, as I mentioned, but I was looking for either character building or action, and it took a real long time to get there. When the action and character building started, more than 30% of the way through, we'll, it was great. And I liked it.

I'm glad that I waited until this book came out to start reading this series. This was the best one so far. Everly has gone from mouse to a wolf in sheep's clothing. She is willing to fight and risk her life now and it makes me like her more. In the first book her main priority was to live at all costs, and that really irked me. Now she's coming into her own, and I respect that.

The beginning is always a struggle as I try to remind myself that the action will come… and it does. From the half way point until the end the book is action packed. Just need to get through the author setting the story up for the action.

This is the third book in the series and love how the characters are growing over the course of the books. Alexius is engaging more with the modern world and Everley after isolating himself for centuries. Everley is growing in her knowledge of vampire lore and the politics of the various nests being educated by Isiah and Alexius.
The sexual tension between Alexius and Everley is building steadily tho frustratingly neither have succumbed yet.
This story revolves around cambion blood, which as we know from the Kaliya Sahni series makes vampires go crazy and turn into uncontrollable demons. Always love it where we touch base with characters from other series and we do this with Rafael and Kaliya here as they assess the threat to the vampires.
This is a story full of intrigue and politics which has Alexius and Everley working overtime to work out who is sending her threatening emails.
The way the story is building it leaves us with questions for the next book, how is her uncle involved and what did Jacob know!
Can’t wait to find out what happens next, will we find out who is threatening her?

The more books I read in the Tribunal Archives universe, the more I become obsessed with its characters.

Everly still doesn't know who is stalking her, but attending a gathering of ancient vampires, might give her and Alexius a hint. Or maybe not? Things don't go as planned and someone is attempting to take down the ancients, including Alexus. Everly will need to show what's he's capable of to protect the people (vampires) she has started to care about.

I love how strong Everly is even if she doesn't know it herself. Her romance with Alexius is extremely slow-burn, so I hope that with book 4 there will be more progress there.

The dynamic between Everly & Alexius is so refreshing, a lovely change from the love at first sight thing that happens in this genre of stories more often than not. We can see it simmering under the surface but is isn't the main storyline which I'm enjoying very much.
My advice as always is to start with the first book in this series as they follow on from each other and follow a timeline so your enjoyment will be greatly enhanced.
