What started out as a simple tryst, turned out to be a all consuming lifestyle. Sophie and Jim were a happy couple that got caught up in an open marriage and lost each other along the way - equally. They enter equally and exit in completely different directions. The story is hard to put down. The writer does a great job mixing emotion and dialog. The detail the writer creates in every room and space is welcome as it helps in the visualization of where the characters are placed. The book missed the mark on creating a lot of angst within the couple - there was some - but not talked about much. I don't discard the fact that the writer meant to do this as to allow the destruction of the marriage continue. Most of the scenarios were cleaver and to some extent believable. Personally, I hated to see them fall apart - I wish they had focused more on things they could do together - like remodel the kitchen. Sadly - they became one dimensional. I recommend the series.

Take my Wife is not your typical hotwife and stag story. Jim and Sophie begin their swinging ways in the average manner, with Jim sharing Sophie with an old school buddy. After a few adventures, however, things begin to escalate, until Sophie's liaisons pick up speed like a runaway train. Eventually, neither one is really getting what they want from the relationship.
The narrative was excellent . The length was great . The second work I’ve read of this author . I’m really glad he has other works out there , otherwise I’d reread this one . Best to be read by those who enjoy erotica .
