About the Author

David DeLee is the author of the Grace deHaviland Bounty Hunter series, including the novels Fatal Destiny, Pin Money, With Intent to Deceive, and the just released Takedown. David's also written many short stories featuring Grace, most notably Bling, Bling, which appeared in the anthology The Rich and the Dead edited by Nelson DeMille, and Fatal Tryst, an audio version of which is available for free from Crime City Central

At the end of WITH INTENT TO DECEIVE, Grace deHaviland, bounty hunter (or, in her words, a bail enforcement agent) was arrested for the murder of Stamford Dodge. At the start of TAKEDOWN, it is five months later and she is a week and a half into her murder trial. Grace is out on a million dollars bail during the trial...

Someone from Grace's past is determined to kill her, those she loves and her acquaintances/friends... When Book is taken, Grace jumps bail to go after him...

This story was a real on-the-edge-of-your-seat, nail-biting page turner! I was hooked from the beginning, speed reading to get to the final, tense showdown (and the verdict). Even though she is on trial, Grace finds plenty of action outside the courtroom. Will she be found guilty of murder? Read TAKEDOWN today to find out.

AfterThought: The books in this series all have typos and minor errors in them that can be annoying and/or interrupt the smooth flow of the story (examples: "The answer lied in that mess." ... "I could put any weight on it at all." and "Realizing I’d have to shoo the son of a b*tch") If not for those mistakes, these would be five star books.

Loved it!

Another exciting Grace deHaviland novel...a must-read!

I can't get enough of this author's work! Exciting, intricate plots and twists and turns you just cannot predict, I am hooked! I feel as though the characters are flesh and blood, and through this series I am getting to know them well.

Good solid 4 star. Whoever does the proof reading could do a better job, type o's, etc. Not necessary a deal breaker, but a minor distraction.
