Parker is a lowborn wolf shifter and not interested in bowing to any tiger, that is, until Kaleb parades by and their eyes lock. For a second nothing else exists, just the two of them and the knowledge that they are meant to be together. It’s fate. But the advisor pushes Kaleb on, and it’s up to Parker to find a way to reach his true mate.
Wolves have been oppressed by the tiger royalty for generations, but it’s Kaleb who fears the bond he and Parker share. Something or someone is scaring Parker’s mate into an arranged marriage he doesn’t want. Parker knows that Kaleb is his, but unless Kaleb can make a stand, they’ll be apart forever.
After two brutal tours in Afghanistan, the military sent Madden home. He’s made ends meet with private security, but the work is unfulfilling, and he’s lonely without his squad around. Determined to take charge of his life again, Madden prepares for a hiking trip in the local mountains to clear his heart and soul.
Unwilling to accept the hand life dealt him, Gage forged his own path as a freelance photographer. His latest assignment has him chasing wildlife in the woods. He loves the challenge of framing the best photo, while hiking and enjoying the fresh air. Until he slides down a gully and breaks his ankle. The welcoming, mysterious forest quickly becomes a nightmare. Gage is alone, and he needs help—immediately.
Madden’s protective instincts kick in the second he spots Gage in trouble. What he finds is even more than he expected: a tough, creative man who never had a chance to open his heart to love. Madden can’t help falling for the photographer. He just needs to convince Gage that the limited time they have before rescue arrives is worth the risk.
These eleven authors looked beyond the traditional wind-rattled Victorian mansions and stately plantation houses shrouded in moss to introduce us to contemporary Gothic locations hiding in plain sight. In LOVE AMONG THE THORNS, the fog and forests of the Pacific Northwest cloud your vision, before blowing away to reveal the wind-swept plains of Montana. The damp of the Louisiana bayou gives way to the glittering lights of Manhattan. Across the ocean, secrets lie behind the walls of grand estates in the forests of Germany and the windy crags of Scotland, and danger lurks beneath the deep blue waters of the Mediterranean. In each locale, the sense of things not being quite right, not quite what they seem on the surface beckons you forward.
Whatever the setting or obstacles placed before the lovers, the stories in LOVE AMONG THE THORNS focus on the relationships that develop between the characters, bringing them from strangers – or even antagonists – to the point where they leave the story hand-in-hand, with futures possible only because of the hardships they had to overcome to achieve them.

Finally free of the demon that possessed him for seven years, Eric Deumont is ready to chase the horizon. Try as he might, he can’t convince his lover Kyros to move on. And Kyros expects him to return to the plantation, and the man, where it all started; as if there was a chance Philippe could pull Araceli out of the jar. But Eric won’t risk unleashing Ghalil, not for anyone. It’s time to cut and run.
Araceli fights Ghalil with everything she has but when the demon merges their souls, they break the seal of their cage. However, physical freedom doesn’t change the fight for dominance. Ghalil’s demand for blood shackles her, and Araceli is nobody’s slave.
With Ghalil free, time is a luxury that no one has. And all the while, the witch crows watch...
But Kyros doesn't find easy treasure and this little chest buried in the sand may connect these pirates with the most powerful magic yet.

Elias lives for the waves. He's been surfing off the Tidewater coast since he could crawl, and the connection he's forged with the ocean is fundamental. Every morning he shares a ritual swim with the local pod of dolphins. Elias is desperate to find a way to express what the sand and the sea mean to him, and local artist Theo could be just what he needs.
Theo's art has helped him move mountains. It granted him freedom from abusive family and supports his quiet lifestyle. He's ready for more. So when muscle-bound Elias commissions him for a mural on his bedroom wall, Theo has more than one reason to take the job. It's time to reach with his heart, an easy thing when Elias is so eager to share what's in his.
Water is essential when painting, and color is what brings the ocean to life. Elias and Theo were made for each other. It's only a matter of time before Tidewater brings them together.

Eric Deumont has more pressing concerns than the treasure-obsessed Kyros. There's a creature inked into his chest that no witch in the seas will lay hands on for all the gold in the world. He knows it gives the Midnight Sun a cursed reputation and that doesn't make living any easier. He has heard stories of spirits trapped for lifetimes inside spelled puzzle jars. Eric tracked down three of the pieces for such a jar with a lead number four. The fifth is still out there.
Even then, the spirit of vengeance that lives in Eric's skin has no intention of giving up such easy access to the mortal realm. It craves blood and the light of the moon allows it to wreak unchecked havoc. Cursed is an insult. This is madness.
