The relationships building make me smile. From the hot to the sweet. And there is a lot of both.
I cannot wait for the finale. I enjoy how much Theo owns who she is and what she does. I will be sad for the closure of this series but I'm thankful it's never the ending of the characters.
Theo 's life is shifting. With info about a possible brother, someone harassing her, her Sithyn forming and growing, her court growing and trying to learn more about the God she is destined to find and be with there is never a dull moment.
Yes, this book leaves with us with a cliffhanger, but it isn't an unpleasant cliffhanger. I am very much looking forward to book 3!!

I’m really enjoying this series and feel that it has reinvigorated the world in which all these series are set. Introducing the Light Court and their connections with the human world, with all the prejudices and different legal processes has been really interesting. It has enhanced the world building that has gone on in previous books to another level.
I also really like the characters in this series. I love how sex positive Theo is, which is hardly surprising given her business as CEO of a porn empire. I also like how much she advocates for the rights of sex workers and for women and children who have experienced domestic violence. These are things that particularly impact humans and this is something that wouldn’t have been part of the Nightmare Court’s awareness at all, as humanity was just a source of income to them.
In this book we see Theo build up her harem. Her relationship with Geir solidifies into something deeper and they are very sweet together, as well as filthy! There is plenty of sex in this book and it’s all done really well with a little kink as well as MFM scenes, but nothing too hardcore.
There is also some interesting plot twists with someone trying to get their hands on her company and a barred porn star trying to get work with Amorenta. On top of that the sithen is developing, Theo needs to wake a god that they don’t have a clue where to start looking for and trying to manage living arrangements for people who live all over the world is not easy, even with portals!
This is a fun, warm and passionate book. It’s filled with romance and intrigue and I enjoyed it highly. I would say though it could do with a better proof reader as there were a few slip ups that slid through the net that caused confusion because of missing words or the words were in the wrong order. It was slightly distracting but it wasn’t that bad. Certainly not enough for me to stop reading, because I really couldn’t stop. The story was just too good. I can’t wait for the next one!
