Compared to heavy-duty vinyl hoses:- 40% lighter weight - kink free- abrasion, leak and puncture-resistant- flexible and easy to store
From the manufacturer
Teknor Apex Company 4006-50 Hose Zero-G 1/2X50 Rv/Marine
Research with hose purchasers overwhelmingly indicates a preference for hoses which offer light weight, easy handling, kink resistance and lasting performance.
The zero-G advanced hose design takes these must-haves to a higher level than ever before
- Kink-resistant uninterrupted flow
- Easy to store – small and compact
- Tough G-Force woven fiber jacket resists leaks, abrasion and punctures.
- Consistent, high flow equal to a conventional 1/2” hose
- Flexible and easy to maneuver even in cold weather down to 35°F
- Lead Free - Drinking Water Safe

I was so happy I bought a second one!
For the motorhome, the drinking-water version is perfect because it stows compactly and doesn't get pre-twisted and tangled like regular hoses. For our garden, this is light enough to maneuver through the flowers without trampling everything in its path. And for washing the cars, it's nice because it only takes a second to loosely drape it over the hose holder - way easier than coiling up a heavy rubber hose.
We now have three Zero-G's and plan on replacing every other type of hose we have with these. Finally, a decent hose.
I had to return it immediately because of a severe leak at the male fitting. I notice a few others reported a similar problem and it is bad enough that I think it should have been caught in Quality Control. You could not miss it even with a low pressure air test. When I looked more closely at it you can see that there is an inner brass colored sleeve pressed into the outer (aluminum ??) shell. They were definitely not lined up properly, resulting in a back spray you could water a garden with. I had it connected on the output side of a 40 PSI pressure regulator so it was definitely not an over pressure problem. Unfortunately I didn't test before beginning the trip and when it failed immediately out-of-box Amazon would have replaced it overnight but there is no provision in the replacement service to send it to a different address than the one the product was originally shipped to (to the next campground on the trip for example) so I had to return it for credit.
I think I will try one again because it looks like a great hose but I may pick it up from a retailer where I can make sure the press fit on the fittings looks OK to avoid hassling with another return. It look like the chances of a defective one are small but it also looks like it wasn't unique and has happened before. It's also really obvios that, at least this one, did not get a final quality control check.
It's tough to figure out a star rating. I think a working hose would probably be five star and, even though it's a complete failure, it's not fair to go one star for something that is just a manufacturing defect and poor quality control. So, I went three, but I wouldn't be surprised if you go 5 stars on yours if you buy one. I think it is probably a 5 star product. Suggestion: Test before you hit the road.

This being the Rv/Marine version (drinking water safe), I decided to replace the hose I had for the RV. The old hose I had was very difficult to roll up after use. For those with RVs, you know there’s not a lot of space to store a hose to begin with. The Zero-G hose, once the water pressure is removed, becomes very pliable. This makes it very easy to coil up and put away compared to a standard hose. I am very happy with this purchase.
Amazon did deliver within 2 days a new one, and this works perfect....Thanks for the great service
i was very disappointed as I had to go buy another water hose immediately. My fault for not testing it in advance of my camping trip i guess.
